Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is loaded with outstanding features. It has an 8.0-inch QXGA+ main screen and uses QXGA+ dynamic AMOLED 2X technology. The screen has a resolution of 2,504 x 2,256 with a pixel density of 422ppi. It offers a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and comes with a Vision Booster for a better view. The cover screen is likewise 6.5-inch in size, with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X resolution of 1,080 x 2,520 pixels, offering the same pixel density and refresh rate advantages. The main screen reaches up to 3,000 nits of brightness and has Vision Booster and a low-reflection display finish to ensure the best visibility in outdoor environments. It measures 72.8 x 158.4 x 8.9 mm when folded and weighs 215g (when unfolded: 143.2 x 158.4 x 4.1 mm).
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is IP48 rated, which means that it can be temporarily submerged in freshwater under certain conditions, but water resistance may decrease over time with normal wear and tear. Samsung’s Flex Titanium technology uses a titanium-based display to make thinner and more durable foldables. It employs a titanium-alloy film together with an upgraded titanium plate to maintain the display, absorb pressure and minimise the appearance of creases. The technology improves the opening process by optimising hinge mechanics, display tension, and magnetic force, leading to a smoother unfolding experience.
The smartphone is available in a range of colours, including Graphite, Cream, Violet Shadow, and a unique Green Shadow, which is available only on Samsung’s website (subject to regional offers).
The camera setup for photography includes a 10MP cover camera (selfie), a 10MP main camera, and a rear triple-camera setup with a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with features like Quad Pixel AF, optical zoom, and OIS technology. Better Nightography provides sharper photographs and videos in low light. For more advanced users, 8K video recording using the APV codec is available, coupled with a Cine LUT for cinematic colour management.
