Snapchat has released its first open prompt AI Lens, “Imagine Lens,” for free in the United States. The Lens, which debuted in September, allows users to create, edit, and recreate Snaps by just providing their own prompts, then seamlessly share them with friends, publish to their Story, or post outside of Snapchat. The functionality was previously only available to Lens+ and Snapchat+ Platinum members.

Snapchat unveiled the Imagine Lens, an Open Prompt Image Generation Lens, which allows users to create and share unique photos. The Lens is now free for all Snapchat users in the United States, and it will soon be accessible in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia as well.

The Imagine Lens enables users to express their creativity by transforming everyday spaces into slip-and-slide experiences, experimenting with Halloween costume ideas, and creating the perfect response when nothing else fits the moment.  Users may share their creations with their friends, on their Story, or outside of Snapchat.

To begin, Snapchat users may look for the Lens in the Carousel or Exclusive category, or search for it by name. Select the Lens, then edit your prompt by tapping the caption or using the pre-loaded ideas for inspiration. Create a Snap and send it to your friends, add it to your Story, or keep it for offline use.

Besides this, Snapchat is offering additional storage options for users with more than 5GB of saved Memories. The Memories Storage Plans, which include 100GB, 250GB with the Snapchat+ subscription, and a significant 5TB option through Snapchat Platinum, cater to users with larger collections of Memories on the platform. These upgrades are designed to meet the growing demands of Snapchatters.
