Under this strategy, developers who use Google Play’s billing system will be charged market-specific fees, which will be set at 5% in regions such as the EEA (European Economic Area), the UK (United Kingdom), and the US (United States). Additionally, Google Play will lower the service cost for in-app purchases (IAP) for new installations to 20%. Google Play will also roll out an Apps Experience Program and an enhanced Google Play Games Level Up program to reward developers who improve software experiences. Participating developers in these initiatives will benefit from lower prices, with a 20% service charge applied to existing installations and a 15% cost for new installations. The Tecno Spark Go 3 has an all-plastic build. The rear panel has a dual-tone finish. The oval-shaped camera cutout houses the main camera and an IR blaster. The LED flash is placed right outside this cutout. Since there is no significant protrusion, the smartphone does not wobble when placed on a flat surface. The smooth finish on the back panel makes sure that it does not attract smudges and fingerprints easily.The right side of the plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side key. The side key doubles as the fingerprint scanner. The hybrid SIM tray (with microSD support), microphone, and 3.5mm headphone jack are placed at the bottom. Up top lies the speaker grille. The smartphone is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance. It can survive exposure to light water splashes. Tecno also claims that the smartphone is drop-resistant up to 1.2 metres.The 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel has a 120Hz refresh rate. It is able to maintain legibility in outdoor daylight conditions. There are some instances (typically at noon, when the sun is directly overhead) when you need to shield the display with your palm to view its contents, but outdoor legibility is not an issue for most stages of the day. The touch response is a little staggered, but that’s something to be expected from every phone in this price bracket. The fingerprint scanner mounted on the side button is snappy and accurate.The Spark Go 3 offers a good viewing experience. Its 720 x 1,600p display is able to produce vibrant colours and charming details. It misses out on the punchy contrast produced by AMOLED panels, but the picture quality on offer here is still pretty good. The top-firing speaker produces a surprisingly good audio output. The sound isn’t as boxy as some of the other phones in this price segment.
Tecno Spark Go 3 Review: Performance and Cameras
The Tecno Spark Go 3 is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor. The smartphone comes in a single 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The good news is that it has expandable storage. You can slip a microSD card in the SIM tray to increase the storage capacity. We ran a couple of benchmark tests on this device. Here is how it performed.
Given that the Tecno Spark Go 3 is an entry-level device, we did not expect soaring numbers in the benchmark tests. In day-to-day use, the smartphone puts up a decent display, handling routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, emailing, media streaming, and web browsing without any unwanted hiccups. The apps take some time to load, but once they’re ready, they run without any lag. However, loading multiple apps and switching among them can reduce the general speed of the device.The Spark Go 3 is able to run titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile, but the gameplay is riddled with stutters and frame drops. You can elevate the gameplay by limiting it to low graphics, but some stutters are bound to creep in. Lacking a dedicated cooling chamber, the smartphone starts warming up after 15 minutes of continuous gameplay.Software duties on this phone are handled by the Android 15-based HiOS 15. The lack of Android 16 OS out of the box is a bit of a letdown, especially when you consider that this device will receive only 1 major OS upgrade.The highlight of HiOS 15 is Tecno’s in-house Ella AI. This AI assistant supports 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, and Gujarati. The Tecno AI suite contains features to summarise text documents, create quick emails and other text drafts, and spell check your texts. HiOS 15 offers decent customisation options for the lock screen and home page. You also get Always on Display on this device, which is surprising since it uses an LCD panel. Since this AOD requires powering every pixel on the display, it only springs into action when you tap the screen.Speaking of battery life, the Tecno Spark Go 3 can last an entire day of heavy usage with ease. Its 5,000mAh battery pack holds enough juice to keep your battery anxiety at bay. We were able to get 5-6 hours of screen time before needing to plug in the charger. The 10W adapter provided in the box takes up to 2.5 hours to fully charge this phone.The camera performance offered by this device is above average for its price bracket. The oval cutout on the rear panel houses a lone 13MP primary shooter. An 8MP front-facing camera is nestled inside the waterdrop notch on the display. Both cameras can record 2K videos at 30fps.The rear camera captures decent pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. The images are on the softer side, but they pack punchy colours. The contrast and dynamic range are passable. In limited lighting conditions, the main camera relies on Supernight Mode to illuminate the subject. The images are a tad grainy, but not entirely dull.Without Night Mode v Night ModePortraits: 1x v 2xPortraits taken with the rear camera are vibrant and well-focused. However, the intensity of the background blur leaves more to be desired. The 8MP front-facing camera takes crisp and clear selfies without messing with the skin tone and texture. Verdict
All things considered, the Tecno Spark Go 3 is a good deal at Rs 9,000. As a daily driver, it gets the basics right. The large display is optimum for media consumption. The warm output from the top-firing speaker is a bonus. The general performance is lag-free as long as you don’t overwhelm the device by loading a lot of apps in the foreground. The main camera performs well in outdoor daylight conditions. The front-facing camera doesn’t disappoint with its selfies either. You also get useful AI tools that can easily be incorporated into daily use. The Samsung Galaxy S26 agentic AI story is not just about another flagship phone getting faster chips and shinier camera tricks. According to Mr JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, who was kind enough to tell us his Anti-Ageing secrets (amongst other things), on a serious note, he told Gadget Bridge that the Galaxy S26 series is Samsung’s attempt to make AI less like a feature list and more like an invisible co-pilot. At a roundtable in San Francisco ahead of Unpacked on February 24, 2026, Mr Park framed the Galaxy S26 lineup as a major shift in how Samsung wants users to experience smartphones, with privacy, control and local relevance sitting at the centre of the pitch.
That matters because the smartphone industry is now at an awkward yet fascinating stage. Hardware still matters, obviously. Nobody wants a sluggish premium phone with a great AI pitch deck. But the bigger battle is increasingly about what the phone can do quietly, intelligently and without turning the user into a settings manager. Samsung’s message here is simple. The Galaxy S26 is meant to work harder in the background so people do less in the foreground.
Mr Park described the Galaxy S26 series as the start of a new direction built around agentic AI. In plain English, that means the phone is expected to understand context, connect apps and complete tasks with less manual input from the user. Rather than asking people to learn new commands or juggle multiple apps, Samsung is of the idea that the device should understand intent and carry out actions more naturally. And we agree.
That is a timely pitch. AI on smartphones has often felt like a scattered collection of demos looking for a daily habit. Samsung’s approach with the S26 series, at least from this briefing, is to reduce friction and give users a choice of AI agents instead of forcing a one-model future. Mr Park said many users already rely on more than one AI tool, and Samsung wants Galaxy AI to support that kind of flexibility rather than lock people into a single assistant.
This is where the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display, Galaxy AI user control, and Samsung Knox AI security narrative become important. Samsung knows that the more capable AI becomes, the more people worry about where their data goes, who sees it, and whether convenience quietly becomes surveillance in nicer packaging.
Privacy takes centre stage on Galaxy S26 Ultra
One of the most interesting announcements from the session was the privacy display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung says this is not a stick-on privacy filter or a crude afterthought. Instead, it is integrated into the display itself, allowing users to limit side-angle visibility while preserving the normal viewing experience. Mr Park also suggested users can apply privacy to selected parts of the screen and customise when it activates.
If that works well in real life, it could be one of the more practical premium-phone additions in a while. Smartphone privacy is often sold through abstract promises. A built-in privacy display sounds refreshingly tangible.
Samsung also leaned hard on on-device processing and user consent. According to Mr Park, personal context processing keeps sensitive information on the device, while users remain in control over when information is shared with partner AI agents. He also said partner interactions through Samsung apps such as Notes, Calendar, Gallery, Reminder and Clock will include controls over whether data can be used to train models or for targeted advertising. The company’s on-device AI privacy message is clear. AI should help without becoming nosy.
Privacy Alerts are another part of that strategy. Samsung says the feature can notify users when apps try to access sensitive permissions such as precise location, contacts or call logs. In a market where most people tap “allow” faster than they read terms, that kind of nudge could prove genuinely useful.
India is not just a market, but a major development hub
For Indian readers, one of the biggest takeaways from the roundtable is Samsung’s insistence that India is not merely a sales market for the Galaxy S26 series. Mr Park positioned India as a strategic pillar in Samsung’s global innovation ecosystem. He said engineers in Bengaluru and Noida have played meaningful roles in the development of the S26 lineup, especially around AI algorithms, component calibration, camera tuning and localisation across markets.
That is a significant detail, and not just because it sounds good in a keynote room. Samsung also said the Galaxy S26 series will be manufactured at its Noida factory, underlining India’s role in both engineering and production.
Samsung also acknowledged that AI needs local context. Mr Park pointed to India’s multilingual reality, noisy environments, startup ecosystem and different camera usage patterns as areas where localisation matters. That gives weight to keywords like India-made Galaxy S26 and Samsung AI ecosystem India, which are likely to resonate strongly with readers tracking how global tech brands tailor products for Indian consumers.
Samsung’s Galaxy S26 pitch, at least from this roundtable, is not really about making the loudest AI claim in the room. It is about making AI useful without making it creepy, powerful without making it complicated, and local without making it feel fragmented. That is a harder trick than it sounds.
The real test, of course, will come after the stage lights dim. Agentic AI is a bold phrase. People will judge the Galaxy S26 series not by how fluently executives describe it, but by whether it actually saves time, protects privacy and feels smarter in everyday use. Still, if Samsung can deliver even half of what it outlined in San Francisco, the Galaxy S26 series may end up being remembered as the moment AI on smartphones finally stopped shouting and started helping. There are some instances (typically at noon, when the sun is directly overhead) when you need to shield the display with your palm to view its contents, but outdoor legibility is not an issue for most stages of the day. The touch response is a little staggered, but that’s something to be expected from every phone in this price bracket. The fingerprint scanner mounted on the side button is snappy and accurate.
The Spark Go 3 offers a good viewing experience. Its 720 x 1,600p display is able to produce vibrant colours and charming details. It misses out on the punchy contrast produced by AMOLED panels, but the picture quality on offer here is still pretty good. The top-firing speaker produces a surprisingly good audio output. The sound isn’t as boxy as some of the other phones in this price segment.
Given that the Tecno Spark Go 3 is an entry-level device, we did not expect soaring numbers in the benchmark tests. In day-to-day use, the smartphone puts up a decent display, handling routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, emailing, media streaming, and web browsing without any unwanted hiccups. The apps take some time to load, but once they’re ready, they run without any lag. However, loading multiple apps and switching among them can reduce the general speed of the device.
The Spark Go 3 is able to run titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile, but the gameplay is riddled with stutters and frame drops. You can elevate the gameplay by limiting it to low graphics, but some stutters are bound to creep in. Lacking a dedicated cooling chamber, the smartphone starts warming up after 15 minutes of continuous gameplay.
Software duties on this phone are handled by the Android 15-based HiOS 15. The lack of Android 16 OS out of the box is a bit of a letdown, especially when you consider that this device will receive only 1 major OS upgrade.
The highlight of HiOS 15 is Tecno’s in-house Ella AI. This AI assistant supports 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, and Gujarati. The Tecno AI suite contains features to summarise text documents, create quick emails and other text drafts, and spell check your texts. HiOS 15 offers decent customisation options for the lock screen and home page. You also get Always on Display on this device, which is surprising since it uses an LCD panel. Since this AOD requires powering every pixel on the display, it only springs into action when you tap the screen.
Speaking of battery life, the Tecno Spark Go 3 can last an entire day of heavy usage with ease. Its 5,000mAh battery pack holds enough juice to keep your battery anxiety at bay. We were able to get 5-6 hours of screen time before needing to plug in the charger. The 10W adapter provided in the box takes up to 2.5 hours to fully charge this phone.
The camera performance offered by this device is above average for its price bracket. The oval cutout on the rear panel houses a lone 13MP primary shooter. An 8MP front-facing camera is nestled inside the waterdrop notch on the display. Both cameras can record 2K videos at 30fps.
The rear camera captures decent pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. The images are on the softer side, but they pack punchy colours. The contrast and dynamic range are passable.
