Samsung’s latest flagship earbuds do not tear up the formula, but they do polish it in all the places that matter most to everyday listeners: fit, sound, calling, transparency mode, and overall usability. At Rs 22,999 in India, these buds clearly want to sit at the premium table, and for the most part, they deserve a chair.
If you were hoping Samsung would ditch the stem design and return to its older stemless look, that ship has sailed. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro double down on the blade-style stem, but this time the design feels more deliberate, more refined, and frankly, less like a compromise. The result is a pair of earbuds that look cleaner, feel slightly more secure, and sound better than their predecessor. That said, this is not a revolution. It is a well-executed upgrade.
Design
Samsung’s new metallic blade finish gives the Buds 4 Pro a more premium personality than the slightly plasticky Buds 3 Pro. They still have stems, yes, but these do not feel like generic copycat appendages. The look is sharper, the finish is sleeker, and the earbuds manage to feel more grown-up without becoming boring.
The fit is also a touch better. Samsung says it has refined the shape using computational design, and in real-world use, that improvement is noticeable. The buds sit a little more comfortably and lock in a little more confidently. Not a dramatic difference, but enough to matter on long listening sessions or brisk walks.
The square charging case is easier to live with than before, and wireless charging remains part of the package. The IP57 rating also adds reassurance for dust resistance and brief water exposure. Just do not confuse that with fully waterproof confidence.
The only real umbrage here is the proprietary ear tip design. If the stock tips do not suit your ears, your replacement options are far more limited than they should be for earbuds at this price.

Performance
This is where the Galaxy earbuds sound story gets more interesting. The Buds 4 Pro retain the dual-driver setup with an 11mm woofer and 5.5mm planar tweeter, but the tuning and driver upgrades bring audible gains. The sound is cleaner, a little wider, and more mature. Bass digs deeper without turning bloated, mids are better placed, and treble has enough sparkle to keep detail lovers happy without tipping into harshness.
These are among the best Android earbuds for listeners who want energetic but controlled sound. Tracks with busy instrumentation feel more open, and vocals carry better presence than before. There is a welcome sense of separation too, which helps the Buds 4 Pro avoid that cramped, boxed-in presentation that some premium buds still struggle with.
Noise cancellation improves, but only by degrees. Samsung’s Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 does a solid job with day-to-day environments, and it is respectable on commutes and in cafés. Still, it does not quite reach the benchmark set by some of the others, just a few notches more, and it would have been perfect. Saying that, the Buds 4 Pro ANC performance is good enough for most people, just not class-leading.
Where Samsung really shines is in transparency mode and call quality. Ambient mode sounds impressively natural, with little hiss and a very believable pass-through effect. Voice calling is another highlight. In windy and noisy conditions, the Buds 4 Pro do an excellent job suppressing background chaos. Voices can occasionally sound a little processed, but the overall result is strong and dependable.
Samsung has also loaded these buds with a robust set of smart features. Voice Detect works smoothly, touch and pinch controls are reliable, swipe volume controls are useful, and built-in voice commands are genuinely handy. Features like 360 audio, head tracking, live translation, and automatic switching between Galaxy devices make the package richer, though some of these perks remain locked to Samsung or Android users only.
Battery life, however, is merely decent. Up to six hours with ANC on is not embarrassing, but it is not especially impressive in 2026 either. Samsung’s earbuds battery performance is one area where rivals still have room to gloat.

Verdict
Samsung has made the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro better in all the right ways, even if the changes are more polish than punch. They look more refined, fit a bit better, sound noticeably cleaner, and deliver excellent calling and transparency performance. For Android users, especially Samsung phone owners, they are a compelling premium option.
If you own the Buds 3 Pro, this is probably not a must-upgrade moment unless you really want the improved finish and better audio. But if you are shopping for new premium earbuds and want strong sound, smart features, great calls, and a snug Buds 4 Pro fit, Samsung has delivered a product that feels easy to recommend. Not because it shouts the loudest, but because it gets a lot right.
