The Pokémon Company and Polaroid Announce Massive 30th Anniversary Camera Collection

Polaroid and The Pokémon Company have teamed up for a major collaboration to honour Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. This collaboration is said to be the biggest licence deal for Polaroid ever. The partnership between the two companies comprises nine one-of-a-kind pieces, including three special edition instant Pokémon cameras, custom-designed film packs and a range of themed accessories that combine nostalgia and innovation for fans of both brands.

Polaroid x Pokémon Gen 3 Cameras: Price, Specs, and Release Date

It has three different types of Polaroid Pokemon cameras. Each has a distinctive appearance, yet the internal parts resemble those of Generation 3 models.

1. Polaroid Now Gen 3 (Poké Ball Edition)

• Design: Designed to resemble the classic red and white Poké Ball, this model will appeal to aficionados of the Pokémon brand.
• Compatible Film: It takes the bigger i-type and 600 films, which are sized 3.1 x 3.1 inches.
• Price: Camera is priced at $139.99.

2. Polaroid Go Gen 3 (Pikachu Edition): This camera features a signature yellow finish, a lightning bolt tail lanyard charm, and a Poké Ball shutter button for a more lively vibe.

Each model in this collection is not just a functional photography experience, but also a collectible item, especially for Pokémon fans.

Polaroid also produced a line of customised products for film lovers, such as special frames and dark slides. One of them is the Polaroid Colour i-Type Film – Pokémon Edition, which costs $22.99. The film features borders with famous Pokémon characters, including Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Gengar, Umbreon, and Mimikyu. The dark slides also reflect the colors of Pokémon silhouettes like Snorlax (blue), Gengar (purple), Togepi (beige) and Charmander (orange) to make the overall look more appealing.

There are several alternatives for the Polaroid Go Color Film, including a Pikachu Edition Double Pack for $24.99. This set includes Pikachu in various amusing positions that are very attractive to fans. The Polaroid Go Color Film – Sylveon Edition Double Pack is another version, priced at $24.99, and has frames with beautiful Sylveon shapes, ribbons and Poké Balls. Three additional accessories have been added to the collaboration’s range. The case costs $24.99 and is shaped like a Poké Ball. Similarly, the Polaroid Go Photo Album, which is also styled like a Poké Ball, is priced at $24.99. Finally, the $14.99 Polaroid camera strap has a customised Poké Ball design.

Pokemon Cameras Release Date, Availability

The complete retail launch will begin on October 5, 2026, with shipping available for pre-orders starting August 25, 2026. The collection will be offered in limited numbers and will be sold only at polaroid.com and the Pokémon Center shop. It will be released first in the US, the UK, and Canada.
