After launching Redmi Note 9 with a 5020mAh battery, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that now it’s ‘Back to Prime’ after a gap of four years. The Chinese smartphone maker is all set to roll out Redmi 9 Prime smartphone in India on August 4 at 12:00 noon.

Mind you! The last Redmi Prime series smartphone was launched in 2016. If we believe the rumours, this much-anticipated Redmi 9 Prime is likely to be a renamed version of Redmi 9 that was launched globally earlier this month. A latest teaser on Redmi India website showcases a shadow of nine inside the soon-to-be-launch Redmi Prime device box. This brought up another theory that probably Xiaomi is launching Redmi on Amazon Prime Day sale. As far as price is concerned, it is believed that Redmi 9 Prime would be available at an affordable price point like its predecessors and could likely be up for sale during the much-awaited Amazon Prime Day sale that will start on August 6 and end on August 7.
