A lot of Samsung smartphones will soon be upgraded to Android Pie: Is your device one of them?

Recently, through the Samsung Members app, the company has released a roadmap to show which device will receive the coveted Android Pie update and when. The update has started rolling out for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ which are major flagship phones of Samsung. The schedule for these phones to receive Android Pie is January next year. And in February the Samsung phone which will be upgraded to Android Pie is Galaxy Note 9.

Subsequently, the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 will receive software update during March. In April the devices which will receive software updates are Galaxy A8+, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A9 and Galaxy Tab S4 10.5. The Android Pie roll out for Galaxy J4, J4+, J6 and Galaxy A8 Star is scheduled for May, 2019. Then in August, the Galaxy J7 Duo is planned to get the update.

The Galaxy S7 was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and until now has received upgradation to Android 8.0 Oreo. As mentioned, it is one of Samsung phones, which underwent major software updates and is not slated to get the new OS upgrade. The smartphone comes with a 4GB RAM with storage variants of 32GB and 64GB of data. It has a 5.1-inch touchscreen and comes with a resolution of 1,440×2,560 pixels.

The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and smartphones physical dimensions are 142.4×69.6×7.9mm with an overall weight of 152 grams.
