HyperX Pulsefire Saga Gaming Mouse Review: A Modular Delight On A Budget

Most gaming mice ask you to adapt. The HyperX Pulsefire Saga modular gaming mouse dares to do the opposite. Priced at Rs 3,990, this wired gaming peripheral comes apart like a satisfying Lego set, letting you rebuild it to match your palm rather than the other way around. After weeks of daily use across competitive shooters, video editing marathons, and the occasional late-night doom-scrolling session, here is the full verdict.

Design: A Lego Set That Means Business

Unboxing the Pulsefire Saga feels less like opening a mouse and more like receiving a modular toolkit. HyperX bundles an alternate button cover set, swappable side buttons, an extra top shell, replacement PTFE skates, and four pieces of grip tape. That is genuinely impressive packaging for a sub-Rs 4,000 peripheral.

The mouse itself is a clean, matte-black unit that does not scream “gaming peripheral” from across the room. The RGB is tastefully minimal, enough to acknowledge it exists, not enough to turn your desk into a nightclub. The magnetic shell system is the real showstopper. Swapping top shells and button covers takes seconds, and everything snaps into place with a deeply satisfying click. No wobble, no creaking, no regrets.

At just 69 grams, it sits in a sweet spot between “hollow toy” and “wrist-destroyer.” The HyperFlex 2 paracord cable, 1.8 metres of glorious, floppy freedom, is so light that cable drag becomes a non-issue. For anyone making the jump from wireless, this cable is the closest thing to a peace offering.

One small gripe: The side buttons feel slightly cheaper than the rest of the body. They work perfectly fine, but the tactile difference is noticeable against the premium main shell.

Performance: Embarrassingly Good for the Price

The 26K DPI sensor and 8,000Hz polling rate look like marketing numbers on a spec sheet. In practice, they translate into cursor movement so smooth and precise that it almost feels unfair. During precision tasks in Photoshop and After Effects, the tracking was completely jitter-free. In Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant, flick shots registered with a sharpness that made going back to a standard mouse feel like downgrading from fibre broadband to dial-up.

The HyperX optical switches under the main buttons deliver a crisp, mechanical snap with zero mushiness. You always know exactly when a click registers, which matters enormously in fast-paced FPS gameplay.

The scroll wheel, however, is a point of friction, quite literally. It is small and stiff, tuned clearly for competitive gaming where accidental weapon switches are a nightmare. For spreadsheet warriors and PDF readers, that resistance will test your patience over an eight-hour shift.

The NGENUITY software covers the basics: DPI adjustments, RGB customisation, and button remapping. It is functional but unremarkable. Installing a 500MB app just to change LED colours feels like overkill, and the software lacks the depth that rivals offer at higher price points.

Verdict: Rare, Refreshing, and Recommended

The HyperX Pulsefire Saga lightweight gaming mouse is one of those rare peripherals that actually solves a real problem. Ergonomic customisation at this price point simply does not exist anywhere else. Yes, the software is basic, and the scroll wheel requires commitment. But when the sensor performs this well, and the build quality is this satisfying to interact with, those are trade-offs most gamers will accept without much argument.

If your current mouse feels like a compromise, the Pulsefire Saga might just be the fix you did not know you needed.

Samsung could use switchable 2D/3D display technology in the upcoming S-Series phones: Report

Samsung has released a research paper on a new switchable 2D/3D display technology that can be switched on and off. This technology might be used in future Galaxy smartphones, especially the Samsung Galaxy S28 Ultra, which is slated to be launched in 2028. The Galaxy S26 Ultra was released in late February. It has a 6.9-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon System on Chip (SoC). The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display is one of its best features. It stops shoulder surfing using a hardware-based approach.

Samsung Electronics and POSTECH have released a major research paper in the journal Nature on a new “switchable 2D-3D display through a metasurface lenticular lens”. This new kind of display uses a metasurface lenticular lens that makes it easy to switch between 2D and 3D images. Nanoscale features in the centre of these ultra-thin metalens improve the optical functions that are important for today’s displays and camera systems.

This technology has come a long way, and it makes Light Field Display systems much better simply by offering a 3D experience without glasses that is very near to how you would see things in real life. Traditional Light Field Displays have had trouble being sold since they are big, have restricted viewing angles, and need real-time eye tracking to work. The research team has cleverly used polarisation to make a metasurface lenticular lens that can dynamically adjust its focal properties on its own. This solves many problems that come with conventional methods and opens the door to better and more accessible 3D display solutions.

This work introduces an innovative meta-optical system that can toggle between two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) modes via voltage control. This new feature lets users pick high-resolution 2D settings for tasks that need accuracy or 3D settings for video experiences. The switching method is made easier by a metalens that changes between concave and convex configurations for 2D and 3D views, respectively, using a polarisation controller to work.

In 2D mode, a concave form of the metalens lets light pass straight through, which makes for clean, sharp pictures that are important for intricate work. In 3D mode, on the other hand, the convex shape greatly improves depth perception and widens the viewing angle, presenting both clear images and a rich depth experience at the same time. This dual-mode feature is a big step forward for optical technology since it combines usefulness with immersive visual experiences.

According to Samsung, significant advancements in lens design have been achieved, most notably a decrease in thickness to 1.2 mm and an increased viewing angle of up to 100 degrees. This development increases the viewing angle by more than sixfold when compared to traditional lenses, which only give 15 degrees, allowing for a wider range of viewing angles for 3D entertainment. The practical usefulness of metalens technology is proven, notably for integration with OLED displays widely used in mobile devices.

Also, a partnership between Samsung Research and POSTECH’s Nanoscale Photonics & Integrated Manufacturing Laboratory shows that people are working together to improve optical technology. This novel concept might change how screens work on smartphones, tablets, and commercial systems.

Apple iPhone Ultra metal dummy surfaced online: Details

There are rumours that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone called the iPhone Ultra/iPhone Fold. New leaks have come out that show pictures and videos of what the iPhone Ultra is likely to look like. Vadim Yuryev posted these leaked images on social media. They show the iPhone Ultra next to what is said to be the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, pointing out significant upgrades and features in this new model.

In September, Apple will officially unveil and show off the foldable iPhone Ultra, the iPhone 18 Pro, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, coinciding with John Ternus’s recent appointment as CEO of the company. Vadim Yuryev’s recent pictures of the iPhone Ultra have made it easier to compare it to other models and highlight what makes it special.

According to the leak, the iPhone Ultra is designed to be easy to use. Its cover display is between 5.3 and 5.5 inches and can be unfolded into a bigger 7.8-inch tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio is good for app developers since it works with Apple’s ecosystem, which indicates that they want to make the user experience and app functioning better.

Earlier, further design details came to light, showing a notch on the side for Touch ID, as well as a sleep/wake button and volume sliders at the top of the device.

Apple has been looking at a 3D-printed design for the hinge of the next iPhone Fold to resolve issues with creases and make the display and hinge last longer. The designs of the Apple Watch and iPhone Air show that the company has been using 3D printing for a long time. This information comes from a Weibo post by Fixed Focus Digital that says employing 3D printed materials can make creases less noticeable. There are also reports that the iPhone Fold will feature a dual-layer design with UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) and UFG (Ultra Flexible Glass). This should make it last longer by keeping the hinge and display from touching each other directly.

Google Rolls Out Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 With Audio Fixes and Performance Boosts for Pixel Devices

If you own a Google Pixel and live on the bleeding edge of Android, there is something worth checking today. The Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 update (build CP31.260403.005.A1) has started rolling out to supported Pixel devices, and while it skips the flashy new features, it digs into some genuinely irksome bugs that have been quietly making life difficult. Think distorted VoIP calls, frozen apps, and broken print jobs. Not glamorous problems, but real ones.

What Is Android 17 QPR1, Anyway?

QPR stands for Quarterly Platform Release, Google’s structured approach to delivering targeted improvements between major Android versions. It is the methodical, less-celebrated cousin of the big annual OS launch. No fanfare, no keynote, just meaningful fixes arriving on a predictable schedule.

This first beta is a preview of the improvements headed to all Android 17 users in the September 2026 Feature Drop. It also bundles the April 2026 Android security patch, keeping devices protected while the rest of the update cycle catches up.

What Google Has Fixed in Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1

Audio and VoIP improvements

This is where the update earns its keep. Anyone who has suffered through strange audio distortion or an odd phase-cancellation effect during VoIP calls will be pleased: Google has resolved audio distortion caused by hardware audio processing in VoIP apps. That is an oddly specific bug with a very real impact on calls, and it is now gone.

There are two more audio fixes worth noting. Failures in direct audio output using AIDL audio HAL during longer audio streams have been resolved, and a separate issue that caused audio output problems after extended playback sessions has also been patched. In short, your phone should stop misbehaving when you ask it to play or transmit audio for more than a few minutes.

App stability and crash resolutions

A crash in the Default Print Service, triggered specifically by low ink conditions, was blocking print jobs entirely. Fixed. An ANR (Application Not Responding) issue in the Terminal app that could freeze both the app and the entire device has also been resolved. These are niche bugs, but for the people hitting them regularly, the relief is real.

The update also delivers broader improvements to system responsiveness in edge-case scenarios. That kind of unglamorous, invisible work is what separates a polished operating system from one that merely looks polished.

In summary, Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 covers system stability improvements, performance optimisations, audio and communication fixes, crash and ANR resolutions, and the April 2026 security patch.

Which Pixel Devices Are Getting the Update?

The update covers a wide range of Google Pixel hardware, from 2021 all the way through to the current lineup:

  • Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a
  • Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel 7a
  • Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 8a
  • Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9a
  • Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a
  • Pixel Tablet series

That is a broad and inclusive list. Owners of older Pixel 6 hardware are not being left behind, which is a genuinely good sign for software longevity.

How to Install Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1

The update arrives as an OTA (Over-the-Air) push for devices already enrolled in the Android Beta Program. If your device is enrolled, the update should appear automatically in your system settings. If you are not yet enrolled, joining the program will trigger the update to be pushed to your device shortly after.

Important: Opting out of the Beta Program before installing QPR1 Beta 1 allows you to exit cleanly with no data loss. Opting out after installing this build or any later beta will trigger a full device wipe during the downgrade process. Back up first. Always.

Users can submit feedback and report any bugs through the Android Beta Feedback app included in the build. If something breaks after installing, Google wants to know about it before the stable release ships.

The Bigger Picture: September Feature Drop on the Horizon

This beta is the first marker on the road toward Android 17’s September 2026 Feature Drop. The fact that Google is already addressing audio bugs and system stability at this early beta stage suggests the Feature Drop could arrive in solid shape. The QPR cycle exists precisely to avoid the situation where a major update ships in June and users spend months dealing with its rough edges.

For most Pixel users, the stable version of these fixes will arrive automatically in September with no action needed. Beta participants get to live with the improvements early, help identify any remaining rough spots, and experience the quiet satisfaction of knowing their VoIP calls no longer sound like someone left a blender running in the background.

You can now recharge your phone while chatting; WhatsApp introduces prepaid mobile recharges to users in India

Indian users can now recharge their prepaid mobile phones directly within the WhatsApp application, thanks to a new feature sponsored by PayU. WhatsApp now has a dedicated icon on the home page for faster access to payments and recharges. This simplifies the procedure for those who depend on mobile recharges.

WhatsApp India mobile recharge

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users in India to recharge their prepaid mobile phones directly from the app. This capability, powered by PayU, will gradually roll out to Android and iOS users over the next couple of weeks. It enables users to easily recharge their own mobile numbers or those of family and friends using an uncomplicated process. Users with prepaid connections on major networks like Jio, Airtel, and Vi choose from a range of available plans for their recharges. This integration aims to streamline the mobile payment experience and improve user convenience.

WhatsApp has made the user experience better by introducing a rupee () icon on the home screen. The goal of this new feature is to make it easier to find and use the payments section of the app. The rupee icon makes it easy for users to initiate recharges and access all metro services that let them buy tickets using WhatsApp. The rupee icon also appears during 1:1 chat threads, so users may easily transfer payments using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) while talking to friends, family, and other contacts. This change shows that WhatsApp is serious about adding financial services to its platform, which would make transactions easier and more convenient for users.

To utilise WhatsApp’s mobile recharge service, users need to follow these steps: first, hit the icon to access the recharge option. Then, click on “Mobile Prepaid Recharge” and choose the phone number that needs to be recharged. This could be your own number or one belonging to a family member or acquaintance. Thereafter, check which mobile provider the number is linked to and choose a plan that fits what that operator has to offer. Then, choose the payment method you want to use, such as UPI, a debit card, or a credit card, and confirm the payment to finish the transaction.

This functionality integrates mobile phone recharges within the WhatsApp platform, considerably increasing its usability by allowing users to execute frequent tasks within an interface they are already familiar with, while also facilitating services such as metro ticket booking and bill payments.

POCO C81 Series Launched in India: Big Screens, Bigger Battery, Budget Price

If you thought budget smartphones had hit a ceiling, POCO just punched right through it. The brand has officially launched the POCO C81 Series in India, introducing two new devices, the POCO C81 and the POCO C81x smartphones, aimed squarely at everyday users who want reliable performance without burning a hole in their pocket. With prices starting at just ₹9,999, these phones are making a strong case for being the best budget smartphones under 11,000 rupees in 2026.

Meet the POCO C81 and POCO C81x

The POCO C81 Series is not trying to reinvent the wheel. What it is trying to do is give everyday users exactly what they need: a large display, a dependable processor, a long-lasting battery, and a camera that gets the job done. No unnecessary bells and whistles. Just solid, sensible smartphones built for real life.

The POCO C81 comes in at ₹10,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the POCO C81x is priced at ₹9,999 for 3GB + 64GB. Both will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart starting April 27, 2026.

Screens That Actually Impress at This Price

Here is where things get genuinely interesting. The POCO C81 sports a 6.9-inch HD+ display, and the POCO C81x follows closely with a 6.88-inch HD+ panel. Both screens support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, which means scrolling through Instagram or binge-watching your favourite series feels noticeably smooth, something you would not typically expect at this price point.

Both devices also carry TÜV Rheinland certification for Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free display technology, which is a thoughtful addition for users who spend long hours staring at their screens.

Performance and Software: Android 16 on a Budget

The POCO C81 runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, making it one of the very few budget phones to ship with Android 16 out of the box. It is backed by LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which translates to faster app launches and smoother multitasking. The device also comes with a solid software support promise: 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

The POCO C81x keeps things a bit simpler, still using LPDDR4X RAM but offering 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It is optimised for essential tasks, calls, messages, social media, and entertainment.

Both phones include a suite of AI-driven features to make everyday navigation and multitasking feel more intuitive.

Battery Life That Lasts (and Then Some)

Both devices in the series come equipped with large batteries that POCO claims can power the phones for approximately two days on a single charge. They both support 15W fast charging, with the charger included in the box,  a detail that many premium brands have quietly abandoned.

There is also 7.5W reverse charging support on both devices, so you can top up your earbuds or a friend’s phone in a pinch. Practical? Absolutely.

Cameras: Capable, Not Groundbreaking

Photography is not the headline act here, but both phones hold their own. The POCO C81 features a 13MP dual AI rear camera, while the POCO C81x comes with a 13MP single rear shooter. Both include an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Key camera features across both devices include:

  • HDR and Night Mode for better shots in tricky lighting
  • Portrait Mode for depth-effect photos
  • Time-lapse recording
  • 1080p video recording at 30fps

Not a photographer’s dream, but more than enough for everyday moments.

Design, Build, and Everyday Durability

The POCO C81 measures 8.15mm thin and weighs 208g, while the POCO C81x is slightly slimmer at 8.26mm and lighter at 193g. Both phones feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with gesture support and carry an IP52 rating, offering basic protection against dust and light splashes.

For connectivity, both devices support Bluetooth 5.2, Dual Band Wi-Fi, and include a 3.5mm headphone jack, because yes, people still use wired earphones.

Storage starts at 64GB on both models, but the real win is the dedicated expandable storage slot that supports microSD cards up to 2TB. That is a lot of room for photos, offline videos, and apps.

You never really know for sure what’s coming your way, and that’s what keeps Connections fresh!

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: The Nord keeps getting better!

The new Nord offering from OnePlus makes some nifty upgrades over its predecessor (our review here). For starters, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and rocks a brighter, smoother display. It also gets flagship-grade IP69/IP69K protection alongside military-standard (MIL-STD-810) durability. But that’s not all. The smartphone also packs a larger battery under its hood. We’ve been using it for the last week to find out if it is the midrange smartphone to beat in today’s market. Here is our in-depth review of the OnePlus Nord 6.

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Design and Display

Box Contents

  • Smartphone
  • 80W power adapter
  • USB-A to USB-C cable
  • Silicone cover
  • SIM ejector
  • Quick start guide

The OnePlus Nord 6 follows the design language of the company’s flagship phone, the OnePlus 15 (our review here). The vertical camera cutout from the Nord 5 has been ditched in favour of a square camera island with rounded edges. However, unlike the OnePlus 15, the island has individual cutouts for the primary and ultrawide lenses. The polycarbonate back panel feels a lot like a glass unit. The matte finish keeps fingerprints and smudges at bay. The OnePlus logo is embossed at the centre. The Nord 6 is definitely a looker, but its alignment with the flagship models has killed the spark that made OnePlus’s midrange offerings unique.

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Design and Display

The plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side key on its right edge. The Plus key finds its way to the left edge. At the bottom lie the SIM tray, primary microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille. The secondary speaker and noise-cancelling microphone are positioned up top. The Nord 6 is rated IP68/IP69K for protection against dust and water. It can survive exposure to high-pressure water jets and is immersible up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. This is a big upgrade over the IP65-rated Nord 5. Furthermore, the Nord 6 is also compliant with MIL-STD-810H durability standards, something that its predecessor lacked.

design

The 6.78-inch AMOLED display is a tad smaller than the 6.83-inch screen on the Nord 5. However, it has a higher refresh rate of 165Hz and has a higher brightness peak of 3,600 nits while playing HDR content. In High Brightness Mode, it can hit 1,800 nits. The display is easily able to overcome harsh sunlight falling on it to maintain legibility. The touch response is smooth and satisfying. The thin, uniform bezels around the display give it a premium look. The optical fingerprint sensor does its job fairly well, even though it is a tier below its ultrasonic counterparts.

display

Streaming movies and TV shows on the OnePlus Nord 6 is an absolute treat. The 1,272 x 2,772p AMOLED panel supports HDR10+ and relays brilliant visuals with impeccable sharpness. The colours are vivid and punchy. The amazing contrast brought about by the deep blacks immediately takes the viewing experience up a notch. The icing on the cake is the well-balanced audio output produced by the stereo speaker setup.

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Performance and Cameras

The core of the Nord 6 gets an incremental upgrade with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. There’s 256GB (UFS 4.1) storage on board. The smartphone comes in 2 RAM (LPDDR5X) variants:

  • 8GB: Rs 38,999
  • 12GB: Rs 41,999

We ran a couple of benchmark tests on the device. Here is how it performed.

  • AnTuTu 3D: 2,348,541.
  • Geekbench 6: 2,116 (single core) | 6,701 (multi-core)

benchmark

There’s a notable performance bump on the Nord 6 in comparison to its predecessor. The upgraded UFS 4.1 storage makes the apps load faster and gives a boost to the processing speed as well. Routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, media streaming, navigation, and web browsing are handled expertly. During the review period, we did not come across a single lag or stutter. In everyday use, the smartphone never leaves you hanging for power.

apps

Over the years, the Nord series phones have evolved to become gritty gaming devices, even though they are not marketed as such. The Nord 6 made a great impression on us with 165fps frame rate support on popular gaming titles like Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI, and Free Fire Max. The custom G2 WiFi chip ensured that network-related lag was not an issue. The overall gameplay was smooth and super enjoyable. The 33,147 mm² graphene layer did a decent job of keeping the internal temperature of the device in check, but we did feel warmth along the back panel after the 20-minute mark.

Software duties on the Nord 6 are handled by the Android 16-based OxygenOS 16. OnePlus has promised 4 major OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches for this smartphone.

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Performance and Cameras

OxygenOS 16 is cleverly optimised for a smooth and seamless user experience. Everything from screen transitions to app card animations feels intuitive. The blur effect and contour glow on the notification shade, quick settings panel, and home screen folders elevate the general aesthetics. We’re also very fond of OnePlus’s native Flux themes for the lock screen and home page. There are plenty of customisation options for the Always On Display as well.

oneplus ai

The OnePlus AI package one of the finest AI suites in the game. The Mind Space serves as an AI memory manager. You can capture a ‘memory’ by pressing the Plus key once. Once a memory is captured, it is analysed and stored in the Mind Space. The information from the memory is extracted and summarised for your convenience. You can save tickets, passes, and meeting schedules in Mind Space, and direct it to remind you about them whenever necessary. The AI Writer tool in OnePlus AI can ghostwrite your emails, come up with captions for your Instagram post, or even respond to a message. The Nord 6 has received a big battery bump with the 9,000mAh Si/C unit. Needless to say, the smartphone can easily last a day of heavy use without needing to be plugged into a charger. If you don’t push the device to its boundaries, you can push it to 2 days on a full charge. With such a big battery, you’re practically carrying a power bank on you at all times. It is for this reason that OnePlus has upgraded the reverse wired charging speed from 5W to 27W. Using the 80W power adapter provided in the box, it takes just over an hour to fully charge the phone.

The camera island of the OnePlus Nord 6 features a Sony LYTIA-600 primary sensor and an OmniVision OV08F ultrawide sensor. This is a downgrade from the Sony LYT-700 and OV08D10 sensors on the Nord 5. Having said that, the general photography experience doesn’t suffer a lot.

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Performance and Cameras

The 50MP primary shooter takes good pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. The images showcase vibrant colours, sharp details, and great dynamic range. Even the shots taken at 2x (digital) zoom look tasteful. In limited lighting conditions, the Night Mode kicks in to light up the shot and get rid of the grain.

Primary Shooter: Without Night Mode v Night Mode

Images taken with the 8MP ultrawide lens are visibly soft, but still passable. There is a notable tonal shift in these pictures, as they appear a bit warmer than the ones taken with the main camera. In limited lighting conditions, the Night Mode does a decent job of illuminating the subject and assigning it accurate colours, but some grain manages to creep into the background. However, our biggest gripe with this lens is that it no longer supports autofocus.

The Nord 6 makes up for its camera shortcomings by capturing stunning portraits. It does a great job of focusing on the subject, recognising its boundaries, and applying a tasteful blur effect to the background. With 2x zoom on hand, you can step back and capture your subject in the full glory of an expansive background. The 32MP front-facing camera takes clear and vivid selfies without messing with the skin tones and textures. This camera can record 4K videos at 30fps. The primary shooter can shoot 4K videos at 30 and 60fps. Meanwhile, the recording chops of the ultrawide lens are limited to 1,080p footage at 30fps.

Verdict

The rumours of OnePlus’s demise were greatly exaggerated. The Nord 6 arrives in the midrange segment as the benchmark-setter. With upgrades across the board, this device kicks things up a notch. Its brilliant AMOLED display can hold its own in the hard sunlight at noon. The 165Hz refresh rate is no gimmick either, as it can run games like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile at 165fps. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC leaves no room for complaints in everyday use. OxygenOS 16 remains one of the most vibrant, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing Android skins in the game. The 9,000mAh Si/C battery pack gives you the liberty to embark on a weekend trip with this phone in your pocket and the charger at home. If the downgraded camera system is the reason behind your cynicism, the sample images above will put your mind at ease.

ChatGPT Images 2.0 announced; it can handle a wider range of aspect ratios, is improved at following detailed instructions, and more

OpenAI has released ChatGPT Images 2.0, which improves image generation for professional usage by executing complicated commands more accurately and producing detailed images. Key capabilities include precise generation of small text and complex layouts, support for a broad variety of aspect ratios, procedures for reasoning and online integration, and the capacity to create up to eight coherent pictures per request.

ChatGPT Images 2.0 is a new and improved model that is made to make challenging images. This model demonstrates that it can follow complicated instructions, accurately positioning and relating different objects correctly, and rendering dense language well. The photos that come out seem like they were made on purpose, which is different from what AI-generated images usually look like. They are also more accurate in more than one language.

This version stands out because it has integrated thinking capabilities. For example, it can do online searches in real time, create numerous unique pictures from one input prompt, and check its own output for quality and relevancy. This novel concept changes the way images are made in a big way. It changes the process from simple rendering to strategic design, turning it into a whole visual system.

Images 2.0 considerably increases picture generation skills, increasing contextual accuracy and relevance, especially for instructive and informative images. This version combines information, creates narratives, and arranges layouts with a focus on structure and visual flow. As a visual thought partner, it provides thorough research capabilities and produces clear visual explainers, streamlining the project development process from start to finish.

The tool is capable of producing multiple images at once, which makes it easier for people to work together on different types of projects, including manga pages and social media graphics. This opens up more creative options. In the context of Codex, adding the ability to generate images improves the design of applications and marketing materials. This makes it possible to quickly prototype and make changes to designs without using external APIs. The gpt-image-2 API lets developers create high-quality images that are perfect for business uses like advertising and educational content.

But even with these improvements, there are certain limitations, especially when it comes to advanced physical modelling, complex visual features, and accuracy in labelling. These are areas that need to be improved in future releases.

All ChatGPT and Codex users may now utilise ChatGPT Images 2.0. This new version has enhanced output capabilities that are only available to those that subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Business subscriptions. Also, customers may access the gpt-image-2 model using the API. The prices depend on the quality and resolution of the photos that are generated.

ASUS Launches ExpertBook Ultra in India: A Sub-1kg AI Business Laptop

ASUS ExpertBook Ultra India launch brings one of the most technically ambitious business laptops of 2026 to the country, with pre-orders going live on Flipkart today at a starting price of Rs 2,39,990. Unveiled at a launch event in Delhi on April 22, the ExpertBook Ultra is the company’s new flagship commercial laptop, and it arrives with a staggering spec sheet stuffed into a chassis that weighs just 0.99kg. Yes, less than a kilogram. The laptop world just got a lot more interesting.

What ASUS Just Announced

The ExpertBook Ultra is a 14-inch Copilot+ PC built around the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor. ASUS is positioning it as the absolute top of its commercial laptop lineup, targeting senior executives, CXOs, and enterprise IT buyers who refuse to choose between portability and raw performance.

The headline numbers are hard to ignore. The laptop starts at 0.99kg, measures just 10.9mm thick, and is machined from AZ31B magnesium-aluminium alloy, an aerospace-grade material also used in Formula 1 racing cars. A Nano Ceramic surface coating with 9H hardness sits on top, rated at five times the scratch resistance of the industry standard 3H finish.

Speaking at the launch, ASUS Global co-CEO Samson Hu said the ExpertBook Ultra was designed to empower professionals to “operate in a state of brilliance,” describing it as the outcome of the company’s Design Thinking philosophy applied specifically to the needs of modern business leaders.

The Performance Specs That Raised Eyebrows

The ExpertBook Ultra ships with what ASUS claims is one of the first PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSDs in a consumer laptop, delivering sequential read speeds of up to 14,090 MB/s. That is roughly twice the speed of most current high-end laptops running PCIe Gen 4 storage.

Memory goes up to 64GB of LPDDR5X clocked at 9600 MT/s, and ASUS notes this outpaces the MacBook Pro M4’s 6400 MT/s by more than 50% in memory bandwidth.

The integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics is another talking point. ASUS claims it outperforms a dedicated NVIDIA RTX 4050 running at 30W TGP by approximately 35% in 3DMark Time Spy benchmarks. That is a striking claim for integrated graphics, and one that independent testing will need to verify.

Keeping all of this cool inside a 10.9mm chassis is the ASUS ExpertCool Pro system, which uses dual fans with 97 ultra-thin 0.15mm blades. ASUS says the laptop can sustain a 50W CPU TDP in Turbo mode without throttling, even when docked with the lid shut.

Intel India’s Senior Director of Global Accounts, PP Sunil Acharya, commented at the launch that the ExpertBook Ultra represents what is possible “when deep platform engineering meets real-world business needs,” citing the close co-development between Intel and ASUS on the platform.

The Display Options

The flagship display configuration is a 14-inch 3K (2,880×1,800) Tandem OLED touchscreen with a variable refresh rate between 30Hz and 120Hz, peaking at 1,400 nits HDR brightness with 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Tandem OLED technology stacks two light-emitting layers, which significantly extends panel lifespan and reduces power consumption by 40% compared to a standard single-layer OLED.

A P-OLED variant is also available. It starts at the same 0.99kg weight, while the Tandem OLED configuration comes in at 1.09kg.

Both variants use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus combined with nano-etching, which ASUS says reduces glare by 80% and sparkle by 50%.

Enterprise Security Built In

Security is a central part of the ExpertBook Ultra’s pitch to IT decision-makers. The laptop complies with the NIST SP 800-193 Firmware Resiliency Framework and carries Microsoft Secured-Core PC and Microsoft Pluton Security Processor certifications. It also includes dual self-healing BIOS, discrete TPM 2.0 (FIPS 140-2 certified), a Match-on-Chip fingerprint sensor that stores and processes biometric data entirely on the sensor itself, and chassis intrusion detection.

ASUS is also launching what it calls an Executive Concierge Service exclusively for ExpertBook Ultra customers in India, described as the first formalised executive-level service offering in the Indian commercial PC market. Each customer gets a dedicated Expert Relationship Manager as a single point of contact.

Battery and Charging

The ExpertBook Ultra carries a 70Wh battery with a claimed battery life of up to 26 hours of local video playback. The included 90W USB-C fast charger brings it to 50% charge in 30 minutes. The laptop also supports full-range USB-C charging from 5V to 20V, meaning it can be charged from a standard smartphone power bank or economy-class aircraft USB ports.

The ExpertBook P Series Gets a Major Expansion Too

Alongside the flagship, ASUS also significantly expanded its ExpertBook P lineup at today’s event.

The ExpertBook P3 is now available starting at INR 94,990 on Flipkart, with a limited-period launch discount of INR 6,000. It features Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, dual SODIMM slots supporting up to 96GB DDR5 RAM, dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots, and comes in a choice of All-Plastic or One Metal chassis across 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes.

The ExpertBook P5 steps up to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Intel Xe3 integrated graphics, with display options including OLED and WQXGA (2560×1600) panels at up to 144Hz. The P5 starts at INR 2,14,990 and is coming soon to Flipkart.

Both P-series models include a full-size RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and support for the ASUS MyExpert1 on-device AI suite. The MyExpert1 suite includes AI ExpertMeet for real-time transcription, meeting summaries, and live translation, all processed locally without cloud dependency.

All new ExpertBook models pass 24 MIL-STD-810H durability procedures across 11 categories, and ship with a 1-year accidental damage protection, toll-free support from 9 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, onsite service across 15,500+ pin codes, and a default international warranty valid in 80 countries.

Launch Offers and Availability

Pre-orders for the ExpertBook Ultra are open on Flipkart from today through April 29, 2026, with the following launch benefits included.

  • 5-year onsite warranty, 5-year battery warranty, and 5-year accidental damage protection (worth INR 12,190)
  • Rs 20,000 off on Axis Credit Card EMI
  • Rs 20,000 exchange discount
  • 24-month no-cost EMI
  • Free Flipkart Black Membership for 1 year (worth INR 1,499)
  • Free 1-year McAfee+ Premium subscription

The ExpertBook P3 is available now. The ExpertBook P5 is listed as coming soon.

ASUS has clearly done its homework on what enterprise buyers care about in 2026, bundling together portability, AI performance, security compliance, and on-device intelligence into a single package. Whether the benchmark claims for the Arc B390 graphics and sustained 50W TDP performance hold up in real-world, extended workloads is the question that remains. If they do, the ExpertBook Ultra will be a genuinely difficult laptop for competitors to answer at this weight class.
