iQOO Z11 Lite now available for purchase: Pricing and Availability

iQOO Z11 Lite is now available for sale in India, featuring two colour options and three RAM/storage configurations. It boasts a 6.74-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6000 series processor. The smartphone comes with a 6500mAh battery that supports 44W wired fast charging and a dual back camera setup with a 50-megapixel shooter. The device was launched last week and can be purchased via Amazon and the iQOO India online shop, with launch incentives and EMI options for consumers.

Pricing in India and Availability

The sale for the new iQOO product is taking place now and is accessible via the iQOO e-store, Amazon.in, Vivo exclusive shops and select offline merchants. Consumers will have the opportunity to choose from two colour variants: Midnight Blue and Solar Flame.

The original price for the 4GB + 128GB model is Rs 19,499, while the effective price is Rs 17,999. The knocks are honest ones. The dock is large, the price is slightly steep, and we would have preferred more Indian languages in the app. Deep carpet cleaning also could have been better.

But, this is a premium hard floor machine that happens to vacuum extremely well, not a carpet specialist. If your home is tile, marble or wood, with pets, kids and a mopping schedule nobody honours, it earns its keep. If your floors are mostly carpet, then you might want to think of another option.

Philips 6000 Series Steam Iron Review: 220g of Steam Boost Versus Your Most Stubborn Kurta

Ironing is the last household chore that technology forgot. Everything else in the home got an app, a sensor or a subscription, while the iron sat there quietly waiting for someone to misjudge a temperature dial and turn a favourite shirt into a museum exhibit. This Philips 6000 Series steam iron review looks at the DST6130/40, a 2800W machine that tries to fix the oldest problem in laundry by removing the dial entirely. There is one temperature. There is no sorting pile. There is, Philips insists, no way to burn anything you were ever supposed to iron.

That is a bold claim to put on a box. It is also, mostly, a fair one.

Design: Built Like a Small Appliance With Big Opinions

The DST6130/40 arrives in black and red, a colour scheme that looks less like a laundry accessory and more like something that belongs on a gaming desk. It weighs 1.5kg, which is heavier than the featherweight dry irons most Indian households grew up with, and that extra mass genuinely helps. You push less, the iron does more.

The soleplate is the headline act. Philips calls it SteamGlide Plus, a six-layer ceramic surface that is non-stick and scratch-resistant, and it glides across cotton with the sort of low friction you normally only get from a fresh coat of wax. The filling hole is oversized, which matters more than it sounds, because refilling a 300ml tank over a bathroom tap should not require the steady hands of a surgeon. The cord runs 1.8m, adequate for most Indian bedrooms and slightly tight if your only socket is behind a wardrobe.

There is no digital display, no fabric presets, no touch panel. For an appliance in this price band, that could read as a miss. In practice it is the point. When the entire proposition is one temperature for everything, extra buttons would just be furniture.

Performance: 220 Grams of Polite Aggression

OptimalTEMP is the technology doing the heavy lifting, and the pitch is that jeans, silk, linen and cashmere can go through in any order, back to back, with no waiting and no pre-sorting. Continuous steam runs at 50g per minute, and the steam boost punches up to 220g when a thick cotton crease refuses to negotiate. Vertical steaming handles curtains and hanging kurtas, drip stop keeps water off the fabric, and prolonged hot steam is claimed to knock out up to 99.9 per cent of bacteria and dust mites, which is a useful footnote in a country where clothes spend monsoon weeks in cupboards.

Four steam settings include an ECO mode, tap water is fine without a filter, and a built-in Calc Clean slider handles limescale. Auto shut-off kicks in after two minutes if the iron is left flat, which is the feature that will quietly save someone’s dining table.

Now the part the marketing copy skips. At 2800W and 230V, this iron pulls roughly 12 amps. A standard Indian 6A socket is not built for that, and owners have already reported needing a 16A point, the kind usually reserved for an air conditioner. Adapters are a fire risk, not a fix. Check your switchboard before you check out.

The 300ml tank deserves a similar reality check. Run continuous steam flat out and that reservoir empties in about six minutes of pure output. Real-world ironing is intermittent, so expect fifteen to twenty minutes of mixed use per fill, which is fine for a weekday stack and mildly annoying on Sunday laundry day.

Worth noting for readers outside India, some overseas listings of the 6000 Series ship at 45g per minute with a 190g boost. The India tune is the hotter one.

Verdict: Worth It If Your Wiring Agrees

Priced at Rs 11,595 MRP with street prices frequently landing well below Rs 10,500, the Philips 6000 series sits at the premium end of Indian steam irons and earns most of that gap. It is fast, it is genuinely forgiving on delicate fabrics, and the two-year warranty plus local manufacturing take some sting out of the spend.

It is not for everyone. If you iron two shirts a week, a 1400W model will serve you perfectly and cost a third as much. If your home has one 6A socket per room and no plans to rewire, walk away now rather than after the plug starts smelling interesting.

But for households that iron in bulk, own things made of silk they would rather not sacrifice, and have the socket to support it, this is the least stressful ironing experience money currently buys in India. An iron you can hand to anyone in the house without a safety briefing is, quietly, an excellent piece of engineering.

Oppo Enco Air5 Review: The value-for-money choice in the budget TWS segment

Last month, we reviewed the Pro model in the Oppo Enco Air5 series and were charmed by its lush soundstage, efficient noise cancellation, and good range of secondary features. Now, we turn our attention to the base variant, which is currently priced at Rs 3,299. These earbuds are more affordable by Rs 1,700, but pack the same 12mm driver as the Pro buds. Being the base model, it misses out on the LHDC 5.0 codec. We used the TWS for a week to find out if it’s a better deal than its Pro counterpart. Here is our Oppo Enco Air5 review.

The Enco Air5’s charging case has the same look as its Pro counterpart. Its pebble-like shape and compact form factor make it easy to slide in and out of pockets. Walking around with this case is not a hassle at all since it weighs only 43.5g. The matte finish wards off any fingerprints or smudges. The in-hand feel of the case is fine. The ‘OPPO’ lettering is etched just below the lid, while the LED notification light is placed further down. The USB-C port and pairing button are positioned at the bottom of the case.

The lid can be flipped open with a single finger. The hinge feels strong and durable enough to withstand rough use over a long period of time. The all-plastic build of the case does not feel cheap. The chassis does not flex upon being pressed.

The in-ear earbuds have a compact form factor and weigh just 4.3g. Their ergonomic design reduces ear fatigue by a considerable degree. We wore them for multiple hours on end without feeling any discomfort or irritation. There are extra eartips (Small and Large) in the box for users who aren’t comfortable with the default medium attachments.

The recessed section in the earbud stems is touch-sensitive. The touch controls are nicely tuned. You do run into accidental triggers every now and then, but they don’t amount to an annoyance. Oppo’s Hey Melody companion app lets you customise the touch controls. You can set the slide gesture to change the volume of the output. If you keep accidentally triggering the controls, you can turn them off entirely.

The earbuds are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance. We put them through rigorous workouts and were pleased to find out that they remained unfazed by exposure to sweat. Unlike their Pro counterparts, these earbuds have a glossy finish, which somewhat weakens the fit when things get sweaty.

Oppo Enco Air5 Review: Performance

As mentioned earlier, the Oppo Enco Air5 uses the same 12mm dynamic driver as the Pro model to deliver its audio output. It supports Bluetooth 6.1, which is a small upgrade over its Pro counterpart, which uses Bluetooth 6.0. Pairing the TWS to a smartphone or PC is a very seamless process. You just need to flip its lid open and long-press the pairing button at the bottom for the pairing notification to pop up on your device. There are 2 audio codecs on offer – SBC and AAC. The high-definition LHDC 5.0 codec is exclusive to the Pro variant.

We like that the base and Pro models have identical soundstages. If it’s good audio quality you’re after, you don’t need to spend an extra Rs 1,200 on the Pro model. The base variant gives enough room to the mid and high frequencies to express themselves on the soundstage while maintaining a thumping low end at the same time.

We listened to Charli xcx’s new album ‘Music, Film, Fashion’ using these earbuds and found the listening experience to be highly enjoyable. The output did justice to the moody guitar riffs and booming drum beats. There are 3 sound equaliser profiles to choose from – Ultimate sound (default), Pure vocals, and Thundering bass. You can set up a custom profile if the native presets don’t rock your boat.

Apart from a fine soundstage, the Enco Air5 also offers delectable Active Noise Cancellation. The earbuds can nullify up to 52dB of surrounding sounds. In an indoor setting, we are able to tune out the noise from the ceiling fan, air conditioner, and distant chatter. The keystrokes still managed to find their way through, although in a muted capacity. The Hey Melody app unlocks 3 ANC levels – High, Moderate, and Low. If you want to be aware of your surroundings, you can switch to Transparency Mode to let the background sounds pass through.

We did not face any issues while using this TWS to take audio calls and virtual meetings. The triple-mic AI call system, comprising a talk mic, FF mic, and FB mic, did a wonderful job of minimising the background noise and relaying the speaker’s voice perfectly to the listener. The call quality takes a small hit in noisy outdoor conditions, but that’s something to be expected from any TWS in this price bracket.

If you’re into gaming, you’ll be pleased to know that the Game Mode in the Hey Melody app backs gaming visuals with seamlessly synced audio by dropping the latency of the earbuds to 47ms. Turning on the toggle switch next to ‘Enhanced sound effects’ boosts the subtle details like the sounds of footsteps, gun reload, and more in the gameplay. Dual connection is another feature that comes in quite handy while driving this TWS daily.

Each earbud is equipped with a 62mAh battery pack. The charging case packs an additional 530mAh. With ANC turned on, the earbuds can last just over 6 hours on a full charge. The case extends the battery life to 27 hours. The earbuds take just under an hour to reach a 100% charge inside the case. Charging the case with a Type-C cable takes 90 minutes.

Verdict

The Oppo Enco Air5 buds offer tremendous value for money. If you’re not interested in Hi-Res audio facilitated by the LHDC 5.0 codec, we recommend getting this TWS over the Pro model. The 12mm dynamic driver delivers a powerful audio output. The soundstage leans towards a bass-centric profile, but it gives enough room to the mids and highs to express themselves. The result is an enjoyable listening experience, no matter which genre of music you play. On top of that, the 52dB ANC lets you restore your peace of mind in noisy situations, be it a public bus or a shared working space.

WhatsApp Web has enabled individual and group audio and video calls, as well as a waiting room for hosts to authorise members. This capability enables users to join in conversations on bigger displays at home or on journeys, hence bettering collaboration among users.

Samsung’s design language for its smartphones is consistent across all of its series and price brackets. The vertical camera island on the back panel has remained unchanged over the last several years. The Galaxy A27 tweaks it a little by adding a thin border in the colour of the back panel and placing the camera lenses slightly deeper than the surrounding frame. The glass back panel has a glossy finish and tends to attract smudges and fingerprints rather easily.

The left edge of the plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side button on an elevated plateau. The side button also functions as the fingerprint reader. The hybrid SIM tray with microSD card support is placed on the opposite edge. At the bottom lie the primary microphone, USB-C port, and speaker. The secondary microphone is positioned up top. The smartphone is rated IP64 for resistance against dust and water. It is a downgrade from the IP67 protection on the Galaxy A26, but it does enough to withstand exposure to water splashes.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach 1,400 nits of peak brightness. It maintains perfect legibility indoors but falls short in the harsh sunlight outdoors. The good news is that this is one of the smoothest panels in its price bracket. Every subtle touch is registered flawlessly, and the overall browsing experience feels very silky. The punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera is a big upgrade over the waterdrop notch on the previous model. The bezels around the screen are not too chunky, but they get slightly thicker around the chin. There is no optical fingerprint scanner under the display. Instead, the sensor is mounted on the side button.

We found the Galaxy A27’s viewing experience to be its biggest asset. We used the device to stream movies and TV shows across major platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar. During the review period, the Samsung Galaxy A27 handled routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, web browsing, navigation, and media streaming with ease. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip is able to summon the required power for these tasks without breaking a sweat. We used the 8GB RAM variant for this review, and it was able to juggle multiple tasks fairly well. The overall performance was satisfactory. You do hit the odd lag every now and then, but it isn’t the norm by any means. While the device isn’t a speed demon, it is a reliable daily driver.

The Galaxy A27 is not a gaming phone, and neither is it marketed as one. It can, however, play titles like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile. We were able to get decent gameplay in medium graphics settings and a 60fps frame rate. We did hit some stutters and frame drops, but that’s something we expected going into the experience. What surprised us was the phone’s heat management system, because the back panel got only moderately warm after 30 minutes of gameplay.

Besides the viewing experience, extensive software support is one of the big reasons to get this smartphone. Samsung has promised 6 major OS updates and 7 years of security patches for the Galaxy A27. You won’t find a better commitment than this on any other device in this price bracket. You get the Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. There are a handful of bloatware apps, but they can be removed easily.

One UI 8 is one of the better Android skins around. It is light, airy, and well-optimised for the platform. The learning curve for users switching from other skins is very small. The intuitive controls and accessible features make you feel at home fairly quickly. There are plenty of customisation options for the lock screen and home page, but we would have liked more native wallpaper options. You can tap into a plethora of ‘Galaxy Themes’, but it requires creating a Samsung account.

Samsung’s AI package for this phone is tucked away in the ‘Advanced features’ section in Settings as ‘Intelligent features’. It gives you access to tools like Voice Transcription, AI Select, and Read Aloud. The native Gallery app lets you spruce up your pictures with AI tools like Object Eraser, Custom Filters, and Edit Suggestions. You also get Google’s Gemini Assistant and Circle to Search.

The 5,000mAh battery pack isn’t as big as the Si/C units that have become popular in this segment. The good news is that it can still last an entire day of moderate to heavy use on a single charge. After racking up 5-6 hours of screen time, we were left with ~15% charge at the end of the day. The smartphone supports 25W wired charging, taking just over an hour to fully charge.

The rear camera array comprises a 50MP primary shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Last year’s model carried an 8MP ultrawide sensor, which makes the current one a downgrade. The front-facing 12MP camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout on the display.

The 50MP primary shooter captures good images in outdoor daylight conditions. These images look vibrant and lively without being overprocessed. The contrast and dynamic range are quite tasteful. You can count on this camera to take good shots when there’s plenty of natural lighting. In limited lighting conditions, the camera relies on Night Mode to resolve the noise and illuminate the shot.

Furthermore, Samsung’s commitment to 6 years of OS updates is unmatched in this segment. When you consider the Rs 32,000 price tag, there are some more features that we would have liked to see on this device. These include an under-display fingerprint scanner, IP67 protection, dual-speaker setup, and 4K selfie recording.

Why memory is the villain of 2026

Here is the short version, no jargon. The world’s memory chips are being hoovered up by AI data centres. The three companies that make almost all of it have shifted capacity towards high-bandwidth memory for AI accelerators, because that is where the margin lives. You buy a smartphone and live with it for three years, which makes sudden price jumps feel like a betrayal. Samsung’s increments, he claimed, have been smaller than rivals’ because of that absorption.

The EMI sleight of hand, explained honestly

In the US and Europe, carriers subsidise handsets through monthly plans. India has no such cushion. Park’s point was that an EMI has two moving parts, the device cost and the interest, and Samsung is picking up the interest side for 24 to 30 months even on flagships. He also pointed at the Galaxy Forever platform, which bundles no-cost EMIs with assured buyback and a no-questions-asked upgrade or return.

Read it plainly and it is a financing story dressed as a pricing story. Read it charitably, and it is the only lever available when the bill of materials refuses to behave.

Professional workloads, the architect or the editor doing heavy lifting, would sit behind a monthly subscription on the partner’s cloud platform rather than Samsung’s own Galaxy AI.

He also stressed that older flagships are not abandoned, with AI modules pushed back to N-1, N-2 and N-3 generations. Combined with seven years of OS upgrades, that is a longevity pitch aimed squarely at buyers spooked by rising prices.

Tier 3 India is not the budget market anymore

The stat worth stapling to a wall. Roughly 65 per cent of Samsung’s flagship sales in India come from tier 2, tier 3 and rural markets, and those markets are growing in double digits, faster than the metros. Distribution does the work here, with shipments to 18,000 postal codes, more than 80,000 mom and pop stores, and about 20,000 promoters on the ground.

Foldables, meanwhile, now account for more than 20 per cent of Samsung’s flagship sales globally, up year on year from a 2019 debut Park remembers mostly for neighbours asking whether the folding was real.

What Noida and Bengaluru actually built

Asked about Indian developer support for the Fold8’s new aspect ratio, Park pivoted to something more concrete. A feature called Pay Now, arriving inside Now Brief on the new foldables, will be exclusive to Indian users. Built by Indian engineers off local insight, it reads upcoming bill reminders and nudges you to pay through Samsung Wallet before a late fee lands.

It is a small feature with a big signal attached. Park was explicit that hardware architecture still originates in Korea while India contributes software, AI and consumer persona research, and that his ambition for the three Indian R&D centres is intellectual property rather than headcount. Partnerships with IITs and startups sit alongside that.

No family discount from the chip division

The best answer of the roundtable was also the driest. Asked whether Samsung’s mobile business gets favourable treatment from Samsung’s own semiconductor arm during a shortage, Park described a wall between the Device Experience and Device Solutions divisions that is “getting higher.” The chip business chases the best fit for its own numbers, internal or not. They compete for volume and pricing like strangers.

He also said something rivals rarely say. He does not want the competition to collapse, because healthy competition drives innovation. His line about being alone on an island, unable to tell whether you are smart or dumb without hundreds of people challenging you, was the most quotable moment of the hour.

Crease, code and the copying problem

On Chinese brands undercutting on price, Park’s view was that undercutting has stopped working in a year when everyone is bleeding on materials. His differentiation argument rests on the unglamorous parts. Anyone can build something slimmer or lighter. Durability is harder. Reducing the crease is harder. Optimising the OS and app behaviour for a folding aspect ratio, work Samsung has done with its platform partner for eight years, is hardest of all.

On the TriFold, he was refreshingly candid. It makes no economic sense. Samsung shipped it to plant a flag, and he expects rollables or a more affordable tri-fold to follow once component costs catch up.
