Three new artificial intelligence (AI) features have been added to Google Chrome to improve tab management across devices. The upgrade, which uses Google’s AI technology, comes with new capabilities like an easy-to-use text-to-speech capability for reading articles and online pages. Users of Google Chrome will be able to sync tab groups between devices. When users launch Chrome, it will also recommend that they revisit the tabs.
While announcing the rolling out of Google Chrome AI features the company said, “It can be frustrating to dig through multiple open tabs to find what you need. Over the past year, we’ve helped make it easier to manage tabs and get things done, from grouping similar tabs to comparing items, all powered by Google AI. Three more improvements are coming soon to Chrome to make it easier to access and organise your tabs, whether you’re on your phone, tablet or computer.”

Chrome for iOS now supports tab groups, which allow users to group important tabs and customise their names and colours for easy identification. To use this function, open the tab grid, long-press a tab, and then click “Add Tab to New Group.” Tabs can be rearranged as desired.
Chrome will soon allow users to save and sync tab groups across all desktop and mobile platforms, allowing them to begin a project in one place and continue it in another without losing work. This function is especially helpful for organising research on a larger screen, such as when arranging a trip. The tab group will automatically sync to the desktop, allowing users to continue the trip-planning experience when they open Chrome on their PC.
Chrome is experimenting with suggesting pages to revisit based on tabs open on other devices, making it easier to go back to sites during work or commutes. This capability is accessible for Android, iOS, and PC, eliminating the need to bookmark or remember the precise URL. Chrome New Tab will suggest you revisit certain pages.
