Google adds new features to the search engine for enhanced online learning and teaching

The company is expected to integrate 3D Augmented Reality with the search engine. This will enable students to understand scientific concepts through 3D models. Experts believe that subjects like Chemistry and Biology require illustrative models and visualisations to build understanding.

Solutions to Mathematical equations

Google aims to offer detailed solutions to mathematical equations and problems related to scientific concepts. Google Lens will assist students in accessing detailed solutions in more than 70 languages. Students belonging to Science and Engineering fields can also seek solutions to problems by giving likely interpretations of the concepts.

Practice Problem Tab

Google The company is also introducing a Practice Problems tab where students can practice problems relates to applied subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. To assists students in the practice session, Google will offer learning resources from renowned EdTech websites including BYJU’s, Vedantu, Careers360, and Gradeup.

Which platforms will support the new tools of Google Search?

The educational tools of Google shall be compatible with the smartphone and desktop version of Google Search. To make the new features handy with mathematical equations, the company will include accessibility features like improved keyboard input and support screen readers.
