Turn off Gmail account

Step 1 – Open the Gmail application on your iPhone/iPad.
Step 2 – Tap on Manage accounts on this device option.
Step 3 – Select the account you don’t want your Gmail to either sync or be there on the application and toggle it off.
This will log off the particular account from your iPad or iPhone.

Uninstall the application
For users, those who want to use other features of Google except Gmail can simply uninstall the application to use the other features like photos and sync on your Apple device. To do so simply hold the Gmail application for 2-3 seconds to see a drop-down menu. Select the Remove App option from here. If you are running an older iPhone, head to the App Store search for Gmail and uninstall from there.

Completely remove Google account from iPhone/iPad
This option is good for people who initially entered their Google account and now they don’t use it anymore. Also, they don’t mind removing all the Google features and ecosystem.
Step 1 – Open the Gmail application on your iPhone/iPad.
Step 2 – Tap on Manage accounts on this device option.
Step 3 – Now select Remove from this device, and confirm. This will completely remove the account from your Apple device and you will be logged out from all the Google applications.
