How to screen share during Facetime in Apple iOS 15?

The new Facetime app in iOS 15 offers a screen share feature.

In the last Apple event, the company released its new iPads and iPhones. Along with them Apple also announced iOS 15, which is a good upgrade with lots of new features than the previous version. Looking at the work from home nature that every other person is following, Apple added the Screen Share feature on its FaceTime application. This will surely give its competition like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet a tough fight. If you are curious about how to access it and how it works? Follow the steps below and make it work for yourself as well.

Screen sharing was an underestimated feature and came out to be a boon once every work got shifted to home. It allows you to show your screen content and activity in real-time to other members in the meeting. It spares a lot of time and effort of sending a particular file to each one of them and explaining them individually. Here is how to use it.

Step 1 – Head to the FaceTime application on your iOS device.

Step 2 – Start a meeting by either sharing links with your family and friends or adding people by pressing New Facetime.

Step 3 – Inside the application press the last most option i.e screen sharing. (Consider the image below).

Step 4 – Press share my screen from the drop-down menu.

And that’s all, now navigate to applications or presentations you want to share with your friends, family or coworkers via FaceTime.

Note – If the ScreenShare feature is not available on your device even after the iOS 15 update. Worry not, you are not alone as Apple is rolling out the update slowly, you might get the update soon in the coming weeks.
