The last smartphone in the Mate-series that Huawei launched was the Mate 20 Pro, that sports a triple rear camera setup and garnered appreciation for its powerful performance. The handset was launched in 2018. This year, the Chinese technology brand has already launched its P30 Pro flagship device that has a quad camera setup that has support for 50X digital zoom. Now, reports have started surfacing online about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone, that claim that it will be launched in the later months of 2019.

The Chinese brand launches its P-series smartphones in the early months of the year while its Mate-series handsets are launched in the later months of the year. Huawei is said to be following the same strategy once again. Although the launch of the Mate 30 Pro is still months away, but that doesn’t mean that rumours and leaks about the device haven’t started pouring in.  According to some recent reports that have surfaced online, Huawei Mate 30 Pro will come with a 90Hz AMOLED display.

Prior to this, another report claimed that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will house the same 4,200mAh battery as last year’s Mate 20 Pro. But this time, the smartphone will come with support for 55W fast charging.

Coming back to the recent report by IT Home, it says that Huawei Mate 30 Pro will come with a 90Hz AMOLED display, that is similar to the screen on OnePlus 7 Pro. The display of OnePlus 7 Pro was touted as one among the key features of the device because of the refresh rate that it offers.

Other than that, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will reportedly be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 985 7nm chipset with Barong 5000 5G baseband chip. We should mention that this means that it would come with 5G connectivity. In addition to this, some early concept renders of the smartphone show that the device will come with a hole-punch camera setup that will house dual front sensors, much like the Samsung Galaxy S10-series. On the back, there will be a quad-camera setup similar to the Huawei P30 Pro, according to reports. However, the exact camera configuration and details are currently not known and it is said that the device will come with 50x digital zoom along with 5x optical zoom.

The company is also said to be working with BOE for the display production of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. There are reports that the device will come with a large 6.71-inch display that will have a fingerprint scanner embedded on it. We expect more concrete reports about the device to come forward as we move closer to its launch.
