ChatGPT to roll out new features with its next update

Generative Artificial Intelligence has come a long way ever since its introduction. Generative AI is a type of Artificial Intelligence technology that generates answers, images, videos etc after receiving a prompt or question. Ever since Generative AI has created a stir in the world all the major tech companies are racing to create their own Generative AI models. Open AI’s ChatGPT is one such Generative AI model. 

ChatGPT is a chatbot by OpenAI that gives replies based on prompts received. Ever since its launch on 30 November 2022, ChatGPT has received both appreciation and backlash. Studies show that answers generated by AI lack authenticity and can be incorrect. However, despite the flak, GPT is still being used by many and is being updated regularly. Recently, OpenAI has rolled out new ChatGPT features. Let’s take a look at them.

Prompt Examples

ChatGPT will be introducing the feature of prompt examples as users often find the blank screen quite daunting. This will ease the process of initiating a new conversation with ChatGPT. Users will now get sample prompts at the start of the page that will ease the process of starting a new conversation. 

Suggested Replies 

Another new feature of ChatGPT is suggested replies. Open AI will now offer its users options to continue the discussion. This helps to explore a topic in-depth with a single click making this AI model more versatile.

Keep your session open for longer

Previously OpenAI users got logged out after every two weeks. However, with the introduction of new updates, ChatGPT users can stay logged in for a longer period of time. The new login period is not known yet but this new feature will enrich the overall user experience.

Inclusion of keyboard shortcuts

This update of Open AI ChatGPT has also brought with it keyboard shortcut keys. This new feature can prove to be a valuable time saver for GPT users. Ctrl+Shift+C allows users to copy these responses. Other shortcut keys can be viewed by pressing Ctrl+/ on the software.

Uploading files

Please note that this feature is only available for ChatGPT plus subscribers. They can now upload up to 10 files for analysis. This feature is a part of the Code Interpreter Beta tool. It offers data analysis, chart creation etc. 

Default GPT-4 model

This feature is also available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. They can now use GPT-4 models instead of the GPT-3.5 model.
