At the Honor Smart Life conference held in Beijing, China this week the company officially announced the launch of its first gaming notebook in the market. The company has an unveiled Honor Hunter V700 gaming notebook which comes in three different configurations. The device will be available in a single colour option which comes with a lightweight and portable design and a new Wind Valley cooling technology.
Honor Hunter V700 specifications and features
The Honor Hunter V700 is armed with Intel 10th-generation Core i7-10750H CPU and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6GB VRAM. The laptop has 16GB of DDR4 RAM, clocked at 2,666MHz with up to a 1TB SSD. It features a 16.1-inch full-HD IPS display with 1,920×1,080 pixels of resolution along with 144Hz refresh rate support. The has a 72 percent NTSC and 100 percent sRGB coverage, 300 nits of peak brightness and 81.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and standard 16:9 aspect ratio. On the front, there is a 720p webcam for video calls and a fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
At the time of the launch, the company said, “Undergoing stress tests using AIDA64 FPU and FurMark for 72 minutes at a room temperature of 26°C, the HONOR Hunter V700 saw CPU power consumption of 44.9 W, the temperature of 89°C, and GPU power consumption of 101.1 W, temperature at just 77°C – all while showing stable performance, demonstrating the efficiency of the system’s heat dissipation. All these results in better framerates during gameplay sessions, and more enjoyment for the user with less fan noise.”
In addition to the laptops also comes with a multi-screen collaboration feature for a smooth mobile game live broadcast experience. The video and sound of mobile games can be synchronized to the notebook wirelessly, delivering a live broadcast experience that’s as stable and smooth as when using a wired connection. There is a 56Wh battery along with fast charging support which claims to charge to 6 0 percent in 30 minutes. In terms of connectivity, there is dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo jack, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Moreover, there is a dedicated Hunter button, allowing users to quickly switch between performance, balanced, and quiet modes based on their needs. There is Nahimic for Gamers audio, giving a more immersive 3D surround sound effect. Whereas one can simply shake your smartphone, put it in contact with the V700’s touchpad, and 30s of gameplay prior to this action, as well as 30s after, will be recorded. After the recording is complete, the clip is synchronized to your phone, making editing and sharing a breeze.
