Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet with 144Hz display launched

Chinese tech company Honor has unveiled the Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet. The tab features a 144Hz IPS LCD display. The device runs on MagicOS 7.0, an Android 12-based operating system. Moreover, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100. Only full-HD video can be captured by the front camera; 4K video can be captured by the back camera. Alongside the company has also introduced the Honor 80 GT and the Honor Band 7 fitness tracker.

Honor Pad V8 Pro pricing and availability details

The cost of the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option for the Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet is CNY 2,599, or around Rs 31,000. A price of CNY 2,899, or around Rs 34,500, is charged for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage option. The most expensive model, which has 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, costs CNY 3,299, or about Rs 39,300. Three distinct colour options—Burning Orange, Clear Sky Blue, and Star Gray—are offered for the Honor Pad V8 Pro.

On the Honor website, you can already pre-order the tablet; it’s scheduled to start selling on December 30. But for now, there is a CNY 100 discount, or around Rs. 1,200, applied to all three variants.

Honor Pad V8 Pro specifications

The 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen on the Honor Pad V8 Pro has a resolution of 1,600×2,560 pixels. The screen’s maximum brightness is 600 nits, and its refresh rate is 144 Hz. MagicOS 7.0, which is based on Android 12, is preinstalled on the tablet. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage power the gadget.

The Honor Pad V8 Pro comes with a 10,050mAh battery and supports 35W rapid charging. Wi-Fi 6, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C connector are the available connectivity choices.

The Honor Pad V8 Pro has a single 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash on the rear. Additionally, it sports a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 for taking selfies. The front camera can only record in full-HD video resolution while the rear camera can record in 4K.

The gadget features an integrated accelerometer and works with both the Smart Touch keyboard and the Magic Pencil 3.
