Huami launched Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch in India

Huami backed Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch launched in India today. The latest model of the Amazefit smartwatch comes integrated with GPS, Wi-Fi as well as music storage options. The smartwatch looks similar to a sports watch. Moreover, Stratos 3 also brings GNSS solutions which means it doesn’t need to stay connected with your smartphone for GPS and route tracking. So when you go out for a run or outdoor workout you don’t need to have your smartphone around.

Amazefit Stratos 3 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 13,499. The device will be available via the e-commerce website Flipkart as well as the company’s official website. It is scheduled to go on sale in India tonight at 8 PM and will be available in a black strap option.

The Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch comes with a round 1.34-inch transflective display with 320×320 pixels of resolution and layering of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the stainless steel dial, four buttons have been given with a black colour silicone strap. The transflective display keeps display visible and clear even during the direct sunlight. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor provided with 512MB RAM with 2GB of internal storage option.

Stratos 3 packs a 300 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer battery which is touted to last up to 14 days when used in Ultra-Endurance Mode and delivers seven days of battery life in Smart Mode and when used with continuous GPS the sports watch can last up to 35 hours. Balanced mode offers 45 hours and in Power Saving Mode you get 70 hours of battery life.

The smart mode comes with always-on heart rate monitoring, it can receive up to 150 text messages. One can lift the wrist to see the time 30 times, 30 minutes of outdoor sports, 5 minutes of other operations. The Ultra-endurance mode on the smartwatch allows similar function as in the smart mode but other operations also such as GPS continuous working time, access Heart Rate monitor, touch function, access notifications, always-on and low consumption LCD, raise wrist to update data 10 times per hour, GPS records once per second.

Whereas in the Balanced mode the functions included are the same as the above but here GPS records once every 5 seconds. But in Power Saving Mode one can turn off the heart rate monitor and touch function, turn off notifications, always-on and low consumption LCD, raise wrist to update data 10 times per hour, GPS records once every minute. Whereas the GPS can be adjusted in 3 sports modes, Running, Outdoor Walking and Climbing, other sports modes can only use the Accurate GPS mode.

The sensor on the Amazfit Stratos 3 includes BioTracker PPG Bio-Tracking optical sensor, 6-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis geomagnetic sensor and Air pressure sensor.

With the internal storage of up to 2GB, the users can store up to 500 songs on the smartwatch. It comes with 5ATM certification for sweat and water resistance for up to 50 meters. There are 80 different sports modes on the watch that includes walking, running, swimming, snowboarding, skiing, outdoor skating, fencing, karate, yoga with algorithms to be used by the users to improve their fitness and speed. It comes with a USB Magnetic charging stand with 4-pins POGO pin and is claimed to take 2.5 hours to get fully charged. The Amazfit Stratos 3 can monitor your waking hours, light sleep, deep sleep, and sleeping hours and give you a detailed report of your sleep pattern. It can be connected to your smartphone with the help of Bluetooth so that you can get al your important notifications and call on the smartwatch
