Lava Agni 5G with 5,000mAh battery and 90Hz display launched in India

The device is the first Indian 5G smartphone by an Indian brand.

Indian smartphone brand Lava today officially announced the launch of its first 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The device is called Lava Agni and the key highlights of the smartphone include a quad rear camera set up and a 90Hz display. In addition to this, there is a 30W fast charging support and the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. Read on to know more about the device.

The price of the Lava Agni 5G has been set at Rs 19,999 for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB storage options. The phone is scheduled to go on sale from November 17 in the country via e-commerce websites Amazon, Flipkart and Lava e-store by paying pre-booking amount of Rs 500. However, the device is now up for pre-booking and the buyers will get a discount of Rs 2,000 as a special pre-booking offer.  All Pre-booked orders can grab the Lava AGNI 5G at a special price of Rs. 17,999.

Lava Agni 5G tech specs

Lava Agni 5G is highlighted with a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS punch-hole display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The phone’s screen has Corning Gorilla Glass protection for higher durability.  On the software front, it runs on Android 11 out of the box. Under the hood, there is MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone also features the latest security features with a side-mounted ultra-fast fingerprint unlock that gets the phone ready in just 0.034 seconds and face unlock in just 0.22 seconds. 

Lava Agni 5G sports a quad rear camera set up that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor. Furthermore, there is a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone comes with 10 inbuilt camera modes like UltraHD, UltraWide, SuperNight, Pro Mode, AI Mode and more.

Lava Agni 5G draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery that comes with a 30W superfast charger that gets the phone ready with full charge in less than 90 minutes. The phone also has a battery saver mode to make the phone last longer during low battery or emergency situations.
