The South Korean electronics major, LG, has brought a new OLED called 48CX TV in India, focusing on gaming and cinema lovers. The biggest highlight of the LG OLED TV is that it comes with an auto low-latency mode for gaming. The 48-inch 4K TV is powered by  LG’s Alpha 9 Gen 3 processor and it is a webOS-based smart TV. Additionally, it also supports AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync for high-quality content and gaming.

LG OLED 48CX TV has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 1,99,990. The 4K television will be available for purchase via offline retailers and the LG India website.

LG OLED 48CX TV: specifications

As the name suggests the LG OLED 48CX TV bears a 48-inch OLED screen offering 3,840×2,160 pixels of resolution. The TV supports LG’s HDR 10 Pro’ and features Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos for clear, sharper images and for HDR gaming experience. The Eye Comfort Display design of the TV ensures that no harm is caused to the eyes even when binge-watching the screen for hours.

Powered by the Alpha 9 Gen 3 processor the TV also has AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible support to lessen tearing and stuttering. Moreover, the LG TV offers AI Acoustic Tuning for a balanced sound effect and supports the latest gaming-focused features like higher frame rate, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).

Whereas the low-lag Game mode is automatically selected when a compatible console is connected, and VRR dynamically matches the TV’s refresh rate to the frame rate being output by a console. Over that there is a Sports Alert feature dedicated to a seamless sports viewing experience by providing real-time alerts to users on their favourite sports news and game updates.

The LG OLED 48CX TV also offers wide viewing angles and ensures display latency, motion blur, and ghosting are reduced to barely discernible levels.  As per the company, the television has a super response time (1 ms) and low input lag, with minimal image blur and zero interference, making the experience highly engaging. Moreover, the new Filmmaker mode on the device helps in adjusting the TV’s settings to show a movie “as the filmmaker intended.”

There is a built-in intelligent LG ThinQ with Google Assistant, Alexa built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, and HomeKit on the TV allowing users to enjoy enhanced entertainment and eliminate pauses during gaming marathons. Whereas the Wireless Sound (2 Way BT) feature in the TV further helps the user connect Bluetooth Headsets or Sound Bars wirelessly with the TV.
