Miromax, the domestic smartphone maker has yet again launched a new budget Android smartphone called Canvas Xpress 2 in India. This smartphone is available in Black colour option.
On the specification front, the Micromax canvas Xpress 2 flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The device comes with dual SIM functionality and runs an Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, which is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Powering the smartphone is an Octa-Core 1.4GHz processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. All this runs on MediaTek MT6592M chipset. For graphics a Mali-450 GPU is also in-built.
The on-board storage of the smartphone accounts to 8GB that can be expanded further via microSD card up to 32GB. The device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both, rear and front facing cameras have OmniVision sensors. This smartphone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The device houses a 2,500 mAh battery to keep it alive.
The company has priced the Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 at Rs 5,999 and it is exclusively on Flipkart, as far as online sales are concerned. It will be available through flash sale, which is expected to take place on August 4 at 2PM. The registrations for the sale have already begun. And the first flash sale will end on August 3 at midnight. The phone will also be available on offline stores.
