After launching Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion in India, the Chinese smartphone company is all set to expand the lineup in the country. The company has confirmed to introduce the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The device was earlier launched globally last month along with the other two phones. The upcoming smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC and has a 144Hz refresh rate display.
Motorola India Country Head, Prashanth Mani, took to Twitter to confirm the India launch for the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The tweet from the company’s India Head was a response to a fan who wished for the device to arrive in the country as well. To which Mr Prashanth Mani says, “We will launch the edge 20 pro soon.”
However, the company’s chief did not reveal any specific timeline for the launch of the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The price and the other additional details are yet to be revealed. The device is speculated to launch in India next month that is September and is likely to be priced above Rs 35,000.
The Pro variant is priced at EUR 699.99 for the 12GB RAM with a 256GB storage model that translates to Rs 60,900 (approx). It comes in two colour options of Indigo Vegan Leather and Midnight Blue.
Speaking of the specification, Motorola Edge 20 Pro is headlined with a 6.7-inch OLED display. It comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and Amazon HDR support. Its screen also offers 10-bit colour and DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The phone runs My UX on top of Android 11 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM along with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, there is a triple camera setup on the back of Edge 20 Pro housing a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a macro lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 5x high-res optical zoom and 50X Super Zoom telephoto lens.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that also supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. For connectivity, there is 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and Bluetooth, and others.
