Instagram has announced the rollout of new features and the focus of the upgrade is once again on creators. The duration of Instagram Reels has been increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds, allowing individuals to reveal their true self on the platform. Moreover, users may now integrate their own music directly into Instagram Reels, according to Instagram.
Instagram Reels is getting some wonderful new features starting today. Reels can now last up to 90 seconds, which is one of the most essential features being added. According to the new blog post, the Instagram Reels will now be extended to 90 seconds. The duration of a Reel has been increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds, providing additional time for creators to share their work. In addition to this, Reels is getting a new set of sound effects along with there’s a new Import Audio tool that allows you to add your own audio, speech or sound on your camera roll that’s at least five seconds long.
While announcing the new Instagram Reels features the Meta owned photo-sharing app said, “Today, we’re rolling out new features that help you engage more with your audience and help you express your most authentic self on Reels.”
Updated Sound effects
Instagram Reels has updated its sound effects library, which now includes sound effects like air horns to crickets to drums and more. The updated sound effects library can help you add humour to a reel or assist your viewers to connect with their emotions while watching one.
Add your own audio
You can now integrate your own audio right into Instagram Reels. Use the import audio option to add commentary or background noise from any video on your camera roll that is at least five seconds long.
Interactive stickers added
Interactive stickers from Instagram Stories are now accessible on Reels, giving you even more ways to interact with your followers. These are the three alternatives that are currently available:
Poll: Making a two-part reel? Poll your audience on what should happen in your next video so that they can help shape the storyline themselves.
Quiz: Put your audience’s skills to the test (or teach them something new!) with this sticker.
Emoji slider: Let your audience share how your content makes them feel with a sticker that makes the heart-eye emoji even more powerful.
Reels can now continue as long as 90 seconds
Instagram has extended the length of Reels to up to 90 seconds, allowing you extra time to play. Instagram creators will have more time to tell more about themselves, record additional behind-the-scenes footage, delve deeper into the complexities of your material, or do whatever else you choose with the extra time.
Instagram just introduced Templates, which let you to quickly construct a reel by copying one from another. The audio and clip placeholders are pre-loaded, so all you have to do now is add and trim your own footage.
