Reliance Jio is cutting no corners when it comes to expanding its market and giving customers more reasons to opt for it. Jio has an app for every type of media fan, be it Jio Cinema for streaming movies or Jio Saavan where the users can listen to free music. Now, it has launched another app which allows the users to make group conference calls over VOLTE network. The app is named Jio Group Talk and it is available on Google Play Store. The iOS version of the app hasn’t been released yet.

With this app, the user can call up to 10 people at the same time and connect all of them in a group conference talk. The new app also comes with features like Lecture Mode, option to mute a person selectively on the group talk and adding/removing people. Even though the Jio Group Talk app is live and is available for download but it is still listed as trial version. The full-version of the app is expected to be launched soon. Once users download it from Google Play Store, they would need to sign up using their Reliance Jio number. Then they will receive an OTP for verification. Once the verification and registration are done, the users will be able to use the app. The Jio Group Talk app will only work on Reliance Jio numbers which are in working condition and are active on devices. The user will be able to make a call like a regular phone call and then he can choose the option to add more people in the call. There is also an option to schedule a conference call as well, which mean the call will be made to all the people who the user wants in the conference call at the same time. The user won’t have to call people one at a time like they did before. Reliance Jio Group Talk has been listed as a ‘One touch multi-party calling application exclusively for Jio users’.

Users can add or remove the participants from the conference call, mute the participants, reconnect them and turn on the lecture mode. Lecture mode is a function in the app which allows only one person to talk while the others would listen. According to a report by TelecomTalk, there is only the voice calling feature in the app right now, but soon the company would add video calling and chat features as well.
