These days gaming-centric smartphones are setting new trends as a number of smartphone companies are up with their new gaming devices such as Nubia, Asus, Black Shark and many more. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially launched the Nubia Play gaming smartphone. The key features of the smartphone include a 5100mAh battery, 5G connectivity, a 144Hz refresh rate AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 765G chipset.

The ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia Play has gone official as the company’s first 5G enabled device with gaming-centric features. The company has launched the device in different configurations of 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage variant at  CNY 2,399 that translates to Rs  26,000, 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage version at  CNY 2,699 that translates to Rs 29,000, whereas the top variant that is 8GB of RAM with 256GB model comes at  CNY 2,999 that translates to Rs  32,500. The device will be available in three colour options black, blue, and white. The pre-booking for the gaming device is now open and is said to go on sale on April 24.

The Nubia Play 5G smartphone runs on  Nubia UI 8.0 OS skinned on top of Android 10 out of the box. The gaming smartphone comes with a  6.65-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. The screen features a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate as well. Under the hood, there is a  Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset that supports dual-mode 5G connectivity along with ICE 2.5 rack-mounted liquid cooling system and with a 61mm large liquid cooling tube. The processor is paired up with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with  256GB of non-expandable UFS 2.1 storage.

In terms of optics, the Nubia Play features a quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor with f/1.75 aperture. Further assisted by a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it comes with a  12-megapixel selfie camera. 

In addition to this, the gaming smartphone packs a 5,100mAh battery with  30W PD fast charging support. For biometrics, it sports an in-display fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the device includes, 5G, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type C port.
