OnePlus today announced the release of Android 14 Beta 1 for its OnePlus 11 5G smartphone. Developers now can experience an early build of Android 14 as part of the Developer Preview Program for the OnePlus 11 5G. Note that Google at I/O 2023 has expanded Android 14 Beta 2 to a limited number of smartphone brands.
“OnePlus has been working closely with Google to provide our signature fast, smooth and steady OxygenOS to our users, which is based on the Android operating system,” said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, “By cooperating with Google, we are excited to provide an early build of Android 14 to OnePlus 11 5G developers.”
The core themes of Android 14 are privacy, security, performance, developer productivity, and user customization. Android 14 Beta 1 will be available on the OnePlus 11 5G.

- Connection fails when casting to a TV display
- A red screen is seen when switching from Guest mode to Owner mode in certain scenarios
- Manual connection fails after the phone is disconnected from the tablet
- WeChat calls may not ring with Bluetooth headsets
- The red screen flashes when creating a new calendar
- The screen freezes when taking a picture with the front camera in WhatsApp
According to OnePlus, there is a risk of bricking your phone so developers are advised to back up your data and read the instructions carefully.
