Oppo finally announced the official launch of its new smartphones in the market. The company launched Oppo A92 in Malaysia, which was also recently spotted on an Indonesian e-commerce website for pre-orders. The device looks similar to rumoured Oppo A72 in design aspects and according to the company Oppo A92 will be rebranded as Oppo A72 and to arrive in select markets with that name. The newly launched smartphone comes with a hole punch design display, a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and has a quad-camera setup at the back. Oppo A92 specifications
Oppo A92 Features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a hole punch design, 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 405ppi pixel density. It will run on ColorOS 7.1 based on top of Android 10 OS. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor paired with an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
In terms of camera capabilities, Oppo A92 comes with a quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree field-of-view, a 2-megapixel monochrome lens and lastly a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera sensor inside a hole punch.
Moreover, there will be a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support to fuel it up. Oppo A92 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics and also includes dual stereo speakers and has Dirac Stereo 2.0 sound effect. It measures 162×75.5×8.9mm and weighs 192 grams.
Oppo A92 Pricing and availability
The Chinese smartphone company has introduced Oppo A92 in Malaysia. The device is said to reach some other markets both as A92 as well as with a rebranded name A72. The device has been launched in a single RAM and storage variant of 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage option. The Oppo smartphone will be available with a price tag of MYR 1199 that translates to Rs 21,000. The handset will be available in two colour options Twilight Black and Shining White and is has been listed on the company’s website for pre-orders and is said to go on its first sale from May 9.
