The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has officially unveiled its latest edition of Reno devices in China today. The company has introduced Oppo Reno 5 5G and Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G while the company has also teased Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G as its next generation of 5G Reno smartphones. The lineup is the successor of the Reno 4 series and it now comes with a quad-camera set up, octa-core processor and 65W fast charging. Oppo Reno 5 5G technical specifications
Oppo Reno 5 5G features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate panel with a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 410ppi. The device runs ColorOS 11.1 on top of Android 11. The 5G smartphone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC with Adreno 620 GPU for graphics. The phone will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage option.
For photos and videos, Oppo Reno 5 5G comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. Further assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The device sports a 32-megapixel selfie sensor on the front display.
The Oppo Reno 5 packs a 4,300mAh battery but supports a 65W fast charging tech. The sensors on the phone include a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gravity sensor, gyroscope and an in-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G technical specifications
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with ARM G77 MC9 GPU for graphics and will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage options. The smartphone comes with a 6.55-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 90Hz of refresh rate. The screen has a 92.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 402ppi pixel density. The handset runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top.
In terms of imaging, the Pro variant comes with a similar camera setup as the standard variant. It has a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 4,350mAh with 65W fast charging support. For connectivity, the device includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. While the sensors onboard include a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gravity sensor and gyroscope. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G technical specifications
Speaking of the technical specs of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G. The company has only given a glimpse of the device consisting of a quad-camera set up on the back of the phone. It is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. There will be a 65W fast charging support. The device is said to go on sale from December 24.
Oppo Reno 5 5G series price and availability
Oppo Reno 5 5G will be offered in two different options of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at CNY 2,699 that translates to Rs 30,400 while the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model will be available at CNY 2,999 that translates to Rs 33,700. This model will come in three colour options of Aurora Blue, Moonlight Night, and Starry Night. On the other hand, the Po variant will be available in a similar configuration priced at CNY 3,399 that translates to Rs 38,200 and at CNY 3,799 that translates to Rs 42,700. Also, the color options of the Reno 5 Pro will be similar to its sibling. Both the smartphones are now available for pre-order and will go on sale from December 18. However, there is no word from the company with regard to the international availability of the smartphone series
