Redmi 10X powered by Mediatek Dimensity 820 SoC, to be unveiled on May 26

The device will support 5G connectivity

The Taiwanese chipset maker recently announced the launch of its new Mediatek Dimensity 820 SoC for flagship smartphones. The octa-core system-on-chip comes with a 5G support and with the latest multimedia, AI and imaging innovations. Now the Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has announced to soon launch its upcoming smartphone that is going to derive its power from the latest MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC and support 5G connectivity. On May 26 the company is going to launch the Redmi 10X series that is going to include a 4G variant and Redmi 10X Pro variant. The device is expected to come with quad rear cameras and will pack a  5,020mAh battery.

Redmi 10X expected specifications

Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing announced that Redmi 10X will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 820 SoC. In its Weibo post, he also shared the AnTuTu score of 4,15,672 and he revealed that the smartphone will be supporting 5G connectivity also will be unveiled on May 26 at 2 pm CST (11:30 am IST).

In the meantime the popular tipster Ishan Agarwal revealed that Redmi 10X 4G variant will be offered in two variants 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option. It is tipped to be available in three colour options Green, Sky Blue and White. 

On the contrary other reports suggest that the 5G model of the smartphone will be further offered in four options 6GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB of storage 8GB of RAM with 128GB and 256GB of storage options. The smartphone is expected to come in three colour options Dark Blue, Gold, Silver and Violet.

Redmi 10X was also spotted on the Google Play Console listing. As per the listing, the mobile phone is expected to come with a full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution and is said to come with 4GB of RAM.  According to the TENAA’s website, the handset was spotted with a model number M2003J15SC. It is suggested to come with a 13-megapixel selfie camera and a 5,020mAh battery. Rumours suggest that the device will be featuring a quad rear camera set up with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a secondary  8-megapixel sensor and dual 2-megapixel sensors.

Coming to the Redmi 10X Pro which is tipped to be offered in two variants. According to a report by 91Mobiled it is expected to be available in 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage options. The smartphone is said to come in four colour options Dark Blue, Gold, Silver / White and Violet. The Pro model is suggested to support 5G connectivity.
