Redmi 8 to launch in India today: How to watch Livestream, expected Price and specification

The Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch another smartphone in India. Today the company will unveil Redmi 8 in the country. Redmi has been teasing the smartphone across all its social media channels for some time that will arrive with dual rear camera setup. Prior to its official launch, the smartphone was also spotted on Google Play Console, which revealed the specifications of the upcoming device. As per rumours the latest phone is expected to sport a rear fingerprint sensor along with a waterdrop notch on the front. Read on to know it’s specifications and pricing and other details.

Xiaomi will launch its new smartphone Redmi 8 in India today. Redmi 8 is the successor of Redmi 7. As we already know that Redmi’s new device will be succeeding Redmi 7 that was launched by the company few months ago with a starting price of Rs 7,999. So we can also expect the upcoming device to carry the same tradition and is expected to debut with the same price point as of its predecessor.

Redmi 8 expected specifications

As we already mentioned that Redmi 8 was spotted on Google Play console few weeks ago that revealed its specifications. As per the listing, the device is expected to run on Android 9 skinned MIUI 10.0.1.3 on top. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. The rumours suggest that the phone is expected to feature a 6.21-inch HD+ (720×1,520 pixels) TFT display along with 19:9 aspect ratio.

The rumours and leaks also suggest that Redmi 8 will be featuring a 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is speculated to arrive with a 5,000mAh battery. As per TENAA’s listing the smartphone will be launched in three variants 2GB with 16GB of RAM, 3GB with 32GB RAM and 4GB with 64GB of RAM. The storage can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 512GB. And will be available in four colour options Ash, Blue, Green, and Red
