Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially introduced the fourth smartphone to the popular Redmi Note series in India. The company has launched Redmi Note 10S as its latest device in the country. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and it features a quad rear camera setup. In addition to this, it comes with an AMOLED display and packs a 5,000mAH battery with 33 fast charging support.
Redmi Note 10S pricing and availability
Redmi Note 10S has debuted in India with two different configurations of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB memory. The 64GB variant will be available with a price tag of Rs 14,999 whereas the 128GB storage model price has been set at Rs 15,999. Both the models will come in Deep Sea Blue, Frost White, and Shadow Black colour options.
The device is scheduled to go on sale starting May 18 at 12 PM onwards via mi.com, amazon.com and other retail outlets across the country.
Redmi Note 10S tech specs
Redmi Note 10S is highlighted with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. It also offers a 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, brightness up to 1,100 nits and SGS low blue light certification. This AMOLED display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the software front, the phone runs MIUI 12.5 on top on top of Android 11 and is powered by MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, paired with Mail-G76 MC4 GPU for graphics and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The imaging department is taken care of by a quad rear camera setup. This includes 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a two 2-megapixel macro and a depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. In terms of selfies, it sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera having an f/2.45 aperture.
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. In addition to this, the Redmi Note 10S is IP53 certified and includes dual speakers and Hi-Res Audio certification. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, IR Blaster, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The sensors on the phone include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the handset comes with Hyperengine game tech for optimised gameplay.
