Motorola Razr 5G has been officially launched in India. This is the company’s second-generation device that is the successor of the Motorola Razr. The newly launched device comes with enhanced features as it can withstand up to 200,000 flips. The new clamshell flip design smartphone now comes with better hinges mechanism and more durable design, new chipset and longer battery life along with upgraded cameras.
Motorola Razr 5G specifications
The just-launched Motorola Razr 5G shares a lot of similarities with its last generation of the foldable phone which now includes a lot of improved things. The device has a 6.2-inch pOLED primary display with a resolution of 2142×876 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. While the front or the secondary display is 2.7-inch gOLED offering 800×600 pixels of resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Motorola Razr 5G runs Android 10 with My UX along with 2 guaranteed major OS upgrades and Bi-monthly security updates for 2 years. The next-generation foldable phone is now powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
For optics, it includes a 48-megapixel main camera on the outer display with f/1.7 aperture, OIS, laser autofocus with a side-mounted LED flash. The main camera also doubles up as a selfie camera which also includes multiple camera modes such as Group Selfie, Portrait Mode, and Spot Colour. While the selfie camera includes a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
The Motorola Razr 5G packs a larger 2,800mAh battery bundled with a 15W charger that comes inside the box. The fingerprint sensor has now been replaced from the front to the rear positioned inside the Moto Batwing logo. It now comes with a matte finish glass back with Gorilla Glass protection. While addressing the durability concerns the second-gen Razr now comes with redesigned hinges which now ensures the teardrop display can fold flush with zero gaps. While the external screen gets more access to apps such as camera, messages, calculator, Google Keep, Google News, Google Home, and YouTube along with support for gesture navigation. As per the company the foldable phone can survive up to 200,000 flips along with the water-repellent coating.
Motorola Razr 5G pricing and availability
The Motorola Razr 5G has been launched in India in a single 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage at Rs 1,24,999. The next-generation foldable phone will be available in the country via e-commerce portal Flipkart and other leading stores starting October 12. The phone will be offered in single colour options Polished Graphite.
The launch offers on the smartphone include Rs 10,000 instant discount for HDFC Bank cards EMI transactions. There will be double data benefits with its Rs. 4,999 annual plan for the Jio subscriber. Also, the company will be offering an extra one-year of unlimited services from Jio at no additional cost.
