These Nokia smartphones just received a price cut in India

HMD Global has slashed the prices of select Nokia smartphones in India. While the entry level smartphones have received a price cut between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500, Nokia 8 Sirocco, the company’s flagship smartphone of the year is available at a discount of Rs 13,000. Here, we have listed down the details of the discount offers available on the Nokia smartphones.

The 3GB RAM/32GB storage model of the Nokia 3.1 smartphone, which till now was available at Rs 11,999, has received a price cut of Rs 1,000 and can now be picked up at Rs 10,999. The 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant of the smartphone was launched in August this year along with the launch of Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 5.1.

To recall, the Nokia 3.1 features a 5.2-inch HD+ display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and runs Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone comes under Google’s Android One program, which guarantees timely Android updates for two years and security patches for three years.

Speaking of Nokia 5.1, its 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is available at a reduced price of Rs 12,999, after receiving a discount of Rs 1,500. The smartphone sports 5.5-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display and comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755S processor and like Nokia 3.1, comes under Android One program.

Another smartphone by the company that has seen a discount is Nokia 6.1. While the 3GB RAM version of the smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 1,500, the 4GB RAM variant is available at a discount of Rs 1,000. The 3GB RAM model is now available at Rs 13,499 and the 4GB RAM variant can be picked up at Rs 16,499.

It is worth noticing that this is not the first time that Nokia 6.1 has received a price cut as both the smartphone variants are available at Rs 1,500 lesser than their respective launch prices since August.

To recall, Nokia 6.1 features a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and receives timely Android and security updates because of Google’s Android One program.

Launched in April at Rs 49,990, Nokia 8 Sirocco (review) is also a part of Android One and runs Android 8.1 Oreo. An Android 9.0 Pie update for the smartphone is scheduled for next month.
