Vivo has expanded its Y-Series in India with the addition of a new smartphone. The company has introduced the Vivo Y21G budget smartphone powered by a MediaTek MT6769 processor. It has a slim build while boasting a 5000mAh battery. Additionally, the handset comes with an Eye Protection Mode that helps filter out blue light for a safe and comfortable viewing experience.

Vivo Y21G has been launched in India in a single 4GB with 64GB storage option priced at Rs 13,990. The device will be available in two colour options of Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue. The phone can be purchased through retail stores in the country.

Vivo Y21G features a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo LCD Display with in-cell technology and offers 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. For additional protection, it features an Eye Protection Mode that helps filter out blue light for a safe and comfortable viewing experience.

It runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on the Android 12 platform. Under the hood there is a MediaTek MT6769 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage option that can be expanded with a microSD card slot. . Multi-Turbo 5.0 is included in the device, which improves data connection and system processor speed. It also has a four-component cooling system that keeps the phone cool even when it’s being used a lot. Ultra Game Mode has been updated to provide a more sensory-rich gaming experience with improved performance. Additionally, the extended RAM feature adds an extra 1 GB of memory to allow for faster switching between apps.

The Vivo Y21G has a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel main camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel secondary camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens on the back. For selfies and video calls, the phone also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens. It also comes with a wide range of camera features such as Personalised Portrait Mode, Super HDR, and Super Night Mode for enhanced photography.

The handset has 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope are among the sensors. For security, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor along with a face unlock feature for faster unlocking. It has a 5,000mAh battery that comes with an 18W charger.
