Vivo Y53s with 33W fast charging and triple rear cameras launched in India

The Chinese smartphone company Vivo has officially announced the launch of its new smartphone in the Indian market. The company has expanded its Y-series with the launch of Vivo Y53s. The key highlights of the smartphone include a 64-megapixel triple rear camera set up. Upfront there is a waterdrop-style notch display. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and it packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Vivo Y53s has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 19,490 for the lone 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option. The device will be available in two colour options of Deep Sea Blue and Fantastic Rainbow. The phone can now be purchased via Vivo India e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store and offline stores in the country. On the purchase of the smartphone, the company will be offering a cashback of up to Rs 1,500 on HDFC Bank debit/ credit cards and EMI transactions, ICICI Bank cardholders, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and via Bajaj Finserv. There will be no-cost EMI options, additional Rs 1,500 exchange discount and Jio benefits worth Rs 7,000.

Vivo Y53s technical specifications

Vivo Y53s features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display having 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. The screen comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a standard 60Hz refresh rate support. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 on top of Android 11 out of the box. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 3GB of ‘extended RAM’. It offers 128GB of onboard storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.

In terms of cameras, Vivo Y53s is highlighted with a triple rear camera set up that houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/.79 aperture. In addition to this, there is a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For taking selfies and video calling there is a 16-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.0 aperture. 

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that comes with 33W fast charging support. On the other hand for connectivity Vivo Y53s includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. While the sensors on the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
