WhatsApp will be removing the ability to save profile photos in its upcoming versions. This change is already being pushed out in the WhatsApp Business beta version for iPhone version 2.19.60.5. This new change has been spotted on the beta version of WhatsApp as well. Moreover, the instant messaging platform has updated its regular iPhone application with a new feature which lets the user preview the stickers directly from the Notification Centre. Other much-awaited feature that the beta version of the app has received is the Night Mode.
These new changes were first spotted by WABetaInfo and according to reports, WhatsApp has removed the ability to save a profile picture in the new beta version of the app. WhatsApp Business for iPhone version 2.19.60.5 is already being rolled out with this new change. While the other versions and the stable version of the application will soon receive this new change.
Earlier, the application gave the user the ability to open someone’s profile photo and share it using different medium/ channels. There was also an ability to save the profile picture to the gallery. But the new beta version has removed the sharing icon completely.
Furthermore, WhatsApp’s new update for iPhones come with the ability to preview the stickers directly from the Notification Centre. For that, the user need to long-press the WhatsApp notification, this will let the user see the Sticker in its full size.
The new updated version of WhatsApp for iPhones comes with the version number 2.19.51 and is 154.1MB in size. It can be downloaded from the App Store.
Earlier this week, we saw that WhatsApp has brought 155 redesigned emojis in its new update. While a beta version of the application was reportedly testing the Night Mode. The Night Mode feature is a long-awaited feature for the application and it will reduce the strain on the user’s eyes while suing the application. The new Night Mode will change the light-coloured application to a darker (black) shade which in turn will be easy to look at and will consume less battery.
Although the Night Mode and all the other new features are still in their beta phase now and the instant messaging platform, WhatsApp is still testing it but there is a big chance that we might see these features in the recent future.
