Google-owned music streaming app YouTube Music is now getting support for time-synced or real-time lyrics on Android and iOS. This feature is also available on other apps like Spotify by now Google has also updated its music platform with this feature in order to take on its rivals. Also, users can use YouTube Music’s real-time lyrics at karaoke parties and family get-togethers.
As of now YouTube Music’s real-time lyrics is currently being made available to a small number of users as it is now a wide rollout by the company. So one needs to check their applications in order to access the feature. The functionality is available to both Android and iOS devices. Once the feature drops on your device you can straightaway play any song on YouTube Music and just tap on the Lyrics tab.

A number of Reddit users took to the platform to share screenshots showing the real-time lyrics feature on YouTube Music turned on for them. Notably, the lyrics tab does not presently have any visual effects for the Android version of the app while the iOS version of the app has a background blur effect that makes it more appealing. Note that when YouTube Music first launched, the lyrics were merely a scrollable wall of text. However the newly updated real-time lyrics are likewise manually scrollable, but if left unattended. The lyrics sync with the songs automatically.
According to a report by 9to5Google, when you pull up the middle tab at the bottom of Now Playing on YouTube Music, you can now access static lyrics. Moreover the text size and spacing also gradually increase during live support. The rest of the things are said to be darker and the current line is highlighted in white with automatic scrolling. The design is claimed to be somewhat similar to Cast on Television while the approach is visually similar to other streaming services.
Recently YouTube Music started displaying song and album credits to the users for all songs and albums while listening.
