World Emoji Day: Apple to add 70 new emoji to iOS12

0
Even the thought of having text conversations and tweets without emoji can sound extremely mundane. No wonder, technology companies like Apple and Google take even the placement of cheese on their burger emoji so seriously. Taking this attitude forward, Cupertino based technology giant Apple has announced 70 new emojis to iOS 12 on World Emoji Day. The company has created over 70 new emoji designs based on characters that were approved in Unicode 11.0. These include emoji that better represent people with red hair, grey hair and curly hair and a new emoji for bald people. New smiley faces with different expressions including a cold face, party face, pleading face and a face with hearts have also been added to the list of existing emoji. Animal emoji aren’t getting left behind either. The list of emoji supported in iOS12 will soon include kangaroo, peacock, parrot and a lobster. For foodies, the technology giant is adding mango, lettuce, cupcake, moon cake among other popular items. That’s not all. Apple has stated that it is also adding a new superhero emoji to its list along with a softball, nazar amulet and infinity symbol. Users will be able to access these new emoji across devices that run iOS 12 including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. But don’t try looking for these on your devices right now, as Apple has said that the new emoji will only be available later this year in a free software update. So you’ll have to wait till you send out the part face or cold face emoji in your WhatsApp conversation. Till then, you can use the thousands of emoji that are currently available on iOS, watchOS and macOS including the emotive smiley faces, gender neutral characters, various clothing options, food types and items, animals, mythical creatures and more. COMIO will launch another 5.5-inch budget smartphone in July

The budget smartphone segment in India sees a launch almost every other day. Since rural India has just woken up to the smartphone culture and are upgrading themselves from the feature phones, makers are pushing their brand further and further so that they reach the Indian masses quickly. COMIO recently launched the C1 pro and COMIO Note X1 in India. These two reside in the budget segment. Now the company is all set to launch yet another smartphone in the country, which will be available in the last week of July. If we go by industry insiders the COMIO smartphone will be priced under Rs 10,000 and is slated to feature a 5.5-inch full view touch display. The rear camera will be powered by a 13MP sensor and the phone will also feature face unlock capabilities. The rear camera will be accompanied with a LED flash, too. This new smartphone by COMIO will run Android Oreo straight out of the box and, like OnePlus and Apple, will come in Red body colour. The volume rocker along with the power button will be located on the right side of the phone and it should also feature a fingerprint reader. The top part will have the 3.5mm audio jack as well. Sources close to Gadget Bridge did say that at the time of the launch the smartphone will come with bundled offers and might carry extra warranty like there is on all COMIO smartphones. All in all, this smartphone does seem like a good offering to begin with, however it truly depends on the kind of CPU, RAM and Storage combo the company will provide. The last two launches did have the MediaTek chipsets, maybe the tie up with MediaTek will continue for this new launch as well. As said before we will come to know in the last week of July. 0
Cupertino-based technology giant Apple has announced that it has updated its MacBook Pro lineup with enhanced security features, larger memory and a faster core processor. The newly launched MacBook Pro models sport a touch bar. While the 15-inch model with Touch bar comes with 8th gen Intel core processors, the 13-inch model with Touch bar comes with 4-cores. The new processor is said to accelerate the performance of the 15-inch model by up to 70% and the performance of the 13-inch model supposedly gets doubled with it. While the newly launched 13-inch MacBook Pro is priced at Rs 1,49,900, the 15-inch MacBook Pro model costs Rs 1,99,900. Both the models of MacBook Pro are available at select Apple authorised sellers. Speaking about the launch, Apple’s senior vice president Philip Schiller said, “The latest generation MacBook Pro is the fastest and most powerful notebook we’ve ever made. Now with 8th-generation 6-core processors, up to 32GB of system memory, up to 4TB of super fast SSD storage, new True Tone technology in its Retina display and Touch Bar, the Apple T2 chip for enhanced security and a third-generation quieter keyboard packed into its thin and light aluminium design with all-day battery life, it’s the best notebook for pro users.” The newly launched models of Apple MacBook Pro come with 32GB of onboard memory, a keyboard that enables quieter typing. Additionally, it’ll be the first time that Apple’s voice assistant Siri will be available on Mac laptops. The MacBook Pros without touch bar made headlines in April because of its battery related issues. The technology giant soon announced that this issue had nothing to do with security and announced worldwide free replacement of these batteries. The 15-inch model of the new MacBook Pro is powered by 6-core Intel Core i7 and Core i9 processors clocked up to 2.9 GHz. It has Radeon Pro discrete graphics with 4GB of video memory and 4TB of SSD storage.
