What is MHL and how to best use it?

This is how you can mirror a phone’s screen on TV with a wired connection also known as MHL.

If you want to screencast the screen of your phone to a TV and enjoy playing games on a bigger display you need smart devices for a smart TV right? Wrong! MHL is a technology that has been around for a while and with this tech, you can screencast to a TV with a wired connection. Today, we will teach you what is MHL and how to best use it.

What is MHL?

What is MHLMHL stands for Mobile High-definition Link, MHL uses a five-pin connection to deliver up to 1080p picture quality, 192khz sound quality, and 7.1 channel surround sound. You can connect your smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices to a TV or a monitor and share the smartphone’s display on it. In short, it is a wired form of Google Chromecast that lets you screencast to a TV with some wires. The plus point here is that since it is a wired connection there is zero latency between the phone and the screen.
