1. The Marvels: The Marvels will be released in theatres on July 28, 2023. The Marvels earlier known as Captain Marvel 2 is the sequel of Captain Marvel. Directed by Candyman’s Nia Da Costa, it will star Brie Larson as Carol Denvers (Captain Marvel), Monica Rambeau and Kamla Khan as Ms Marvel. Zawe Ashton will be playing the role of the villain.
2. Kraven the Hunter: Seeing Venom’s incredible success Sony is all set to bring another villain Kraven the Hunter from the Spider-Man universe to the big screen. Sony has tried to introduce him before in Marvel movies but it failed. The cast includes Aaron Taylor Jackson as Kraven, Ariana DeBose as Kraven’s love interest, Fred Hechinger, Christopher Abbott etc. The movie will be released in theatres on October 6, 2023.
3. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: Another exciting upcoming movie is the second instalment of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Jason Momoa will be returning as Arthur Curry, the King of Atlantis. The cast includes Amber Heard and Nicola Kidman among others. This superhero film will hit the theatres on December 25, 2023.
4. El Muerto: Releasing on January 12, 2024, El Muerto will be another rendition of the villain from the Spider-Man universe. Grammy-winning rapper Bad Bunny has been roped in to play the lead role. This movie is about a superpower wrestler who gets his power from a mask passed down by his father and he must fight his oppressor to keep his superpowers alive.
5. Blue Beetle: DC is all set to bring in a new face in its upcoming movie Blue Beetles. DC’s first Latino superhero will be played by Cobra Kai’s Xolo Marriduena. He will portray the role of Jaime Reyes a youngster who gains superpower after discovering an electric blue beetle inside a takeout box. Blue Beetle is all set to hit the screens on August 18, 2023.
