How to read WhatsApp messages without opening them?

There are times when you don’t want to open a message, but still, have a curiosity to read it. While you can always read the messages in the notification panel. The complete information is not shown there. If you are wanting to read WhatsApp messages without opening the application, then read on. 

Also if someone has sent you two messages in one go, the notification panel won’t show the earlier one. There is a hidden trick that WhatsApp has provided to read WhatsApp messages without opening them. Yes, no need to install a third-party application for it. Follow the below method to know how to use it.

Step 1 – Long press on the home screen to find widgets on the lower bottom. The process to find widget options may differ depending on the brand you are using).

Step 2 – Find WhatsApp widgets and choose the 4×1 one with the list on it.

On the opened widget you can see all the unread messages and read them without opening them. If one is using Whatsapp web, he/she can hover the mouse over the message and the complete message will be displayed on the floating message window. But the only flaw with this method is that you cannot view all the messages, just can read the latest one only.
