So, mute in Twitter is a feature that stops all the Tweets from appearing from your Twitter timeline. So if you started to see Tweets of some accounts that you don’t like, then you can simply mute that account. With this option, you can mute any account and after that, you won’t see any tweets from that account on your timeline. Now that you know what mute is in Twitter, it is the right time to mute accounts you don’t want to see on your timeline, just follow these steps-
- Just open the account of the person you want to mute, and hit the three-dot menu on the top right.
- Over there you will see a mute button, hit that and you are good to go.
Alternatively, you can hit the three-dot menu on the person’s tweet and then press the mute option to mute the person.
Muting any account does not remove you from the follower’s list of that person, so it is a great option if you want to ignore someone’s tweets without letting them know.

- On the top right side, just below the account cover photo, you will be able to see a “Following” button, it shows that you currently follow the account.
- Press the following button and the account will be unfollowed by you.
