  • Go to the WhatsApp settings within the app by tapping the cog icon located at the bottom right.
  • Go to Chat > Chat Backup.
  • Tap “Chats” and then tap “Chat Backup.”
  • Tap Back Up Now to create a backup of your WhatsApp chats on iCloud.
  • You may also activate the Auto Backup feature.
  • As soon as you tap Auto Backup, you’ll get the following four options to choose from.
    • Daily: To backup your chats every day
    • Weekly: To backup your chats once a week
    • Monthly: To backup your chats once a month
    • Off: To disable the Auto Backup feature

Once you enable the Auto Backup feature, your chats will automatically be saved to your iCloud. You will not need to do that manually.

  • Go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup > BACK UP.

To create an auto backup of your WhatsApp chats on an Android device, follow these steps.r

  • Launch the WhatsApp application on your Android device.
  • Tap the three dots located at the top right.
  • Go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup > Back up to Google Drive.
  • Choose the desired backup frequency.
  • Choose the Google account where you want to create a backup. You may add a new Google account by tapping Add account.

To modify the frequency of your WhatsApp chats backup on Google Drive, follow these steps.

  • Launch the WhatsApp application on your Android device.
  • Tap the three dots located at the top right.
  • Go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup > Back up to Google Drive.
  • Choose the desired backup frequency.
