iTubeGo enables you to download YouTube videos of up to 8K resolution at high speeds. Apart from YouTube, this software downloads from other video-streaming websites as well including Vimeo, Metacafe, and Dailymotion. The tool enables you to download YouTube videos in all standard formats including MP3, MP4, AVI, and MOV.

  • Launch the application.
  • Click the Paste URL button located on the top-right to open the dialogue box.
  • Go to YouTube and copy the URL of the video that you want to download.
  • Paste the URL in the iTubeGo dialogue box.
  • Click on the Download button to start downloading the video file.

The VLC is a very popular open-source video player for Windows PC, Mac. This tool can play almost all multimedia file formats as well as Audio CDs, VCDs, and DVDs. The software supports a wide range of audio compression methods.

To download a YouTube video using the VLC Media Player, follow these steps.

  • Go to the website, (https://www.videolan.org/) and install VLC Media Player.
  • Launch the VlC Media Player on your PC.
  • Go to the Media > Open Network Stream to open a tab with a message, “Please enter a network URL”.
  • Go to YouTube and copy the URL of the video that you want to download.
  • Paste the URL in the VLC MEdia PLayer dialogue box.
  • Click on the Play button.
  • Go to Tools > Codec Information.
  • Copy the link given in the location textbox and paste it into a web browser. Press Enter.
  • Right-click on the video and click ‘save video as’ to download the video.

It must be noted that VLC Media Player allows you to download YouTube videos at a maximum resolution of 1080p.
