Fossil Group has announced the launch of its latest affordable Fossil Gen 5E smartwatch in India. The smart wearable comes in two 42mm and 44mm case size options. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset and runs Wear OS by Google. The designer watch will be available for both male and female users in different styles and colour options. In addition to this, the Fossil affordable smartwatch also features an AMOLED display along with 3ATM certification for water resistance.
Fossil Gen 5E price and availability
Fossil Gen 5E price in India has been set at Rs 18,490 and is offered for both male and female users. For all the users it will be available in a 44mm size and for women in 42mm size option. The watch will be offered in Silicone, Stainless Steel, Leather, and Stainless Steel Mesh strap options too. The device will be available for purchase via Flipkart and Fossil’s official website.
To recall, Fossil Gen 5E has already made its debut in the US last year in October. There the price starts at $249 that translates to Rs 18,200. The smartwatch is available in Black Silicone, Brown Leather, Black Stainless Steel, Two-Tone Stainless Steel, Rose Gold-Tone Stainless Steel Mesh, Rose Gold-Tone Stainless Steel and Blush Silicone strap options.
Fossil Gen 5E specifications and features
Fossil Gen 5E features a 1.19-inch AMOLED offering a resolution of 390×390 and pixel density of 328ppi. The wearable comes in two sizes, 42mm and 44mm. Fossil smartwatches work with phones running the latest version of Android or iOS. The smartwatch runs on Wear OS by Google. The Smoke Stainless Steel strap option comes with 5ATM water resistance whereas the other strap options are 3ATM rated for water resistance.
Fossil Gen 5E smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC paired with 1GB of RAM and for storing contents the company has provided 4GB of storage. The watch has a built-in speaker to answer calls, multi-day battery modes, and heart rate and activity tracking. In addition to this, there are other features on the fitness watch that are multiple battery modes such as daily mode, extended mode, time only mode and custom mode. Moreover, there are health monitoring features too that includes off-body IR, and PPG heart rate sensor in addition to other sensors such as accelerometer and gyroscope.
For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, GPS, LTE, and Wi-Fi. The smartwatch comes with voice assistant support to control smart home devices with their voice command. Furthermore, the Fossil designer watch comes with social watch faces and customizable dials along with pre-installed applications including Spotify, Noonlight, and Cardiogram.
