Technology giant Google has officially confirmed the dates for its annual I/O 2021. The company’s CEO Sundar Pichai, took to Twitter to announce the event. As per the company, this year Google I/O will kickstart from May 18 and go all through May 20. Also this year the event will be completely virtual and will be free to attend therefore anyone can participate in its version of the developer’s conference. At I/O 2021 Google will be announcing new products along with new software updates for its apps.
The Coronavirus pandemic last year forced the tech giant to scrap its conference so this time Google will be following the footprints of Apple by hosting an online-only event. Few days back Apple also announced its Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC dates.
The software technology giant Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai took to Twitter to announce the dates for its most anticipated event I/O 2021. His tweet reads, “…and we’re back:) Join us May 18-20 for #GoogleIO live, online, and free for everyone. May 18 and will go on till May 20.” Although we are now well aware that the tech event this time is completely virtual and will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California. But it is slightly harder to guess what the technology giant has up its sleeve for the I/O 2021.

Besides the focused keynotes, workshops, AMAs, and more there are lots of things that the company is expected to take the wraps off.
But rumour mills suggest that the company is expected to spill the beans on its new mobile platform – Android 12. The company usually announce its latest version of Android at the I/O event only and this year should be no different While the past event suggests that Google has a tradition of announcing its smartphones at its October event but back in 2019 the company introduced us to the Pixel 3a, XL and Nest Hub Max. Speculation also suggests that the company is working on more affordable Pixel Buds as well Pixel 5a.
The users are required to register to get the most out of the digital Google I/O experience with access to Workshops, Ask Me Anything Sessions (AMAs), personalized content, live Q&A during Sessions, chat in I/O Adventure, developer profile badges, and more!
Like we said before the company has not yet revealed much information about the event but it promised to post the full schedule in late April 2021. We will keep you updated as the event gets closure so Stay tuned!
