The Chinese smartphone company Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo has announced the launch of its latest 5G smartphone in China. The company has introduced iQoo U3 which is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G processor. In addition to this, the smartphone falls under the mid-range price segment and offers a high refresh rate screen, a massive battery and dual rear cameras. iQoo U3 has been introduced in China in two different configurations. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model comes with a price tag of CNY 1,498 that translates to Rs 16,800 while the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage price has been set at CYN 1,698 that translates to Rs 19,100. The 5G smartphone will be available in two shades of Glow Blue and Too Early Black.

The launch of the smartphone came just after when it was listed on JD.com a few days back. The device is now available for pre-order until December 17 and will be available for sale from December 18 onwards.

The iQoo U3 runs on iQoo UI 1.5 based on the top of Android 10. The device comes with a 6.58-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2408 pixels. The display also offers a high refresh rate panel of 90Hz with 401ppi pixel density and HDR10 support. It offers a 20.07:9 aspect ratio with a 90.61 percent screen-to-body ratio. The 5G smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G processor offering up to 8GB of and 128GB of storage options.

On the imaging front, the device carries a dual rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture in addition to a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The setup supports 10x digital zoom, night scene mode, panorama, time-lapse, EIS, and 4K video recording. While on the front there is an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling.

The iQoo U3 is fuelled by a 5,000mAH battery that comes with 18W Dual Engine fast charging support. The smartphone offers 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C, and a 3.55mm audio jack as connectivity options. In addition to this, there are a couple of sensors that includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, a proximity sensor and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
