Audio accessories manufacturer Harman has announced the launch of its new TWS earphones in India under the brand JBL. The company has rolled out JBL Tune 225TWS true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones in the country that comes with an outer-ear fit design similar to Apple AirPods. These features a USB Type-C port for charging and has been introduced at a competitive value to take on Sony in the true wireless segment. The audio device will be available only via the company’s official website in the country.

Harman has launched JBL Tune 225TWS earphones in India in the mid-range true wireless segment. The price of TWS earphones has been set at Rs 10,499. But will be offered at an introductory price of Rs 8,499 only via JBL official online store. However, the JBL earphones will be available via other channels also but will be available at its retail pricing. And, will be offered via offline channels also sometime later. This device is being offered in three distinct colours black, white, and grey.
JBL Tune 225TWS specifications
JBL Tune 225TWS earphones come with a 12mm dynamic drivers. These features an outer-ear fit and easy-going body which is similar to the Apple AirPods comfortable wear all day long while you are outdoors working out or indoors working at home. The JBL earphones are 57gms in weight. The charging case has a curved lid that connects to your device as soon as you pop up the lid. Powered by Dual Connect feature the gives you a choice to enjoy music or make calls with either one or both the earbuds.
The JBL Tune 225TWS earphones are touted to offer 25 hours of playback on a single charge. Moreover, this device offers an additional four hours of battery life when fully charged. Though it lacks IP rating so these earphones are not dust and water-resistant.
In terms of connectivity, there is Bluetooth 5.0 support along with voice assistant for hands-free control as well as USB Type-C charging. In this price segment, the True Wireless Earphones by JBL are going to compete with Apple, Jabra, Samsung and Sony.
