Lenovo Ego smartwatch with heartrate monitor, 20 days battery life launched in India: Price and features

Lenovo is stepping up its smartwatch game with the launch of its Ego smartwatch targeted towards the fitness enthusiasts. It comes with a round touchscreen display and offer numerous fitness-based features. Lenovo’s smartwatch also comes with a heartrate monitor, sleep tracking along with activity tracker. The company has claimed that the Lenovo Ego packs a battery backup of around 20 days on a single charge. The newly launched smartwatch can be paired with a smartphone and shows users notifications of calls messages, emails, social media apps, etc.

Lenovo Ego specifications and features

Lenovo Ego sports a 1.6-inch anti-reflective monochrome display with dedicated ‘Light’ button. When the Light button is pressed, it illuminates the display of the smartwatch. It can connect with Android and iOS smartphones as well using the Lenovo Life application. Once connected, the Lenovo Ego becomes capable of providing messages, calls, social media, emails notification to the user. The company has touted that the Lenovo Ego comes with water resistance and can last up to 50 metres depth.

The Lenovo Ego also comes with a feature which lets the user click a picture from their smartphone’s camera using the smartwatch. For that they need to tap on the smartwatch’s display one time and it should also be connected to the smartphone.

As mentioned above, the Lenovo Ego is largely a fitness-centric smartwatch. It comes with a heart rate monitor and tracks the heartbeat of the user all day. The company has claimed that the Lenovo Ego can provide accurate heart rate data in real time during activities like running, cycling and other exercises. As it is water resistant, it can be worn while swimming and it also won’t be damaged due to sweat or splashes. The Lenovo Ego also has sleep tracking, swim tracking and other exercise modes which allows the user to record their track times, record laps, swim strokes, calories burnt etc.

It weighs 42 grams and has a rubber strap. Its battery is said to last for 20 days on a single charge and it comes with a magnetic charger.

Lenovo Ego smartwatch price and availability

The Lenovo Ego smartwatch holds a price tag of Rs 1,999 and it is available on Flipkart and Croma retails stores.

The customers of the smartwatch from Flipkart will get additional cashback worth 5% of the original price of the Lenovo Ego. To avail the offer, the purchase should be made using the Axis Bank Buzz Credit card.
