OnePlus started rolling out OxygenOS 10.0 for OnePlus 6 and 6T

The OTA has been rolled out in a staged manner

OnePlus has pushed out a new software update for its OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T devices. OnePlus handsets come with up to two years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches. The company has started rolling out the software update in a stable version that comes with new UI design and customisation options within the Settings, improved privacy features and many more.

OnePlus has announced the roll-out of OxygenOS version 10.0 based on Android 10 for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. According to the changelog the System app has received a major update. The company has upgraded the older upgrading system to Android 10 as well as a new UI design. OnePlus has also improved location permissions for privacy. The new customization feature in Settings now allows you to choose icon shapes to be displayed in the Quick Settings and General bug fixes and improvements.

The new Over the Air update now adds inward swipes from the left or right edge of the screen to go back in terms of gestures. A bottom navigation bar has also been added to allow switching left or right for recent apps.

In the Gaming department, a new Game Space feature has been added to bring together user’s favourite games in one place for easier access and better gaming experience.

Intelligent info based on specific times, locations and events for Ambient Display (Settings – Display – Ambient Display – Contextual Display) and now the users will be able to block spam by keywords for Message (Messages – Spam – Settings – Blocking settings).

The Ove the Air update has been rolled out in a staged manner. Initially, only a limited number of users will be able to receive the software update and the company promises a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. In addition to this using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout Is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.
